The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division Founded in 1946 as one of the league’s original eight teams, the team play their home games at TD Garden, which they share with the National Hockey League (NHL)’s Boston Bruins The Celtics are one of the most successful teams in NBA history they have won the most championships of any NBA Franchise with 17, accounting for 23.9 percent of all NBA championships since the league’s founding.

The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful teams in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA). With a record of 32 NBA Finals appearances and 16 championships, the Lakers are the second most successful team in the NBA behind only the Boston Celtics

The Lakers were founded in 1947 as the Minneapolis Lakers one of three charter franchises of the NBA. The team moved to Los Angeles in 1960, and has been based in Southern California ever since. The Lakers have won 19 Western Conference titles, making them the team with the most conference titles in NBA history

In addition to their 16 NBA Championships the Lakers have also won 25 division titles and 32 playoff appearances. The franchise has produced some of the greatest players in NBA history including Magic Johnson Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

The San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are an American professional Basketball team based in San Antonio Texas. The Spurs compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division The team plays its home games at the AT&T Center in San Antonio

The Spurs have won five NBA championships 23 division titles, and have made 28 playoff appearances. As of 2019, they have the second-most wins in NBA history behind only the Los Angeles Lakers The franchise has produced many impressive players including George Gervin Artis Gilmore, Dennis Rodman and David Robinson Tim Duncan is widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time and led the Spurs to their first four championships. The Spurs are currently coached by Gregg Popovich who is also their longest-tenured Head Coach He has led the team to five championships and is widely considered one of the greatest coaches in NBA history

The Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are one of the NBA’s all-time winningest teams. With six NBA championships and five Conference titles, the Bulls have cemented their place among the league’s elite.

Led by legendary players such as Michael Jordan Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman the Bulls dominated the NBA in the 1990s, winning six championships in eight years. The team’s run of success continued into the new millennium, as they won another championship in 1998 and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2000.

Although the team has not won a championship since 1998, they remain one of the league’s most popular franchises, with a large and loyal fanbase.

The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are one of the NBA’s all-time winningest teams. They’ve won three NBA Championships five Western conference championships and have made the playoffs 28 times. The Warriors have a rich history, dating back to their origins in Philadelphia in 1946. They’ve had some of the NBA’s greatest players including Rick Barry, Wilt Chamberlain Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant The Warriors are a force to be reckoned with both on and off the court, and they’re always a team to watch out for come playoff time.

The Houston Rockets

The Rockets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division The team plays its home games at the Toyota Center, located in downtown Houston. Throughout its history, Houston has won two NBA Championships and four Western Conference titles.

The franchise was founded in 1967 as the San Diego Rockets, an expansion team originally based in San Diego In 1971, the Rockets moved to Houston due to strong economic and fan support. The Rockets won only 15 games in their debut season as a franchise in 1967. In the 1968 NBA draft the Rockets, picking first overall, selected Power Forward Elvin Hayes, who would lead the team to its first playoff appearance during his rookie season. They improved dramatically over their inaugural year; wining 37 games during regular season play (a winning percentage of .215).

During the 1980s, the Rockets were a consistent playoff contender under coach Bill Fitch; making it to Conference Finals five times but failing to make an NBA Finals appearance. After Fitch was replaced by Don Chaney midway through the 1981–82 season, nothing could stop them from reaching great heights; becoming one of only two teams in NBA history (the other being the Los Angeles Lakers) to win a championship as an eighth seed when they defeated the defending champion Lakers 4–2 en route to their maiden NBA Finals appearance where they eventually lost 4–2 against the Boston Celtics The 1990s ushered in a new decade of success for the franchise; making it back-to-back trips to NBA Finals in 1994 and 1995 led by all-star center Hakeem Olajuwon where they finally captured their maiden championship trophy against Patrick Ewing and the New York Knicks before successfully defending their title against Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando Magic a year later. Led by newly appointed head coach Jeff Van Gundy – who took over from Rudy Tomjanovich after he resigned due to health reasons following back-to-back trips to NBA Finals – and All-Star guard Steve Francis nicknamed “Stevie Franchise”, they returned to prominence by winning 49 games (a winning percentage of .610) en route to another conference finals appearance; this time losing 4–1 against Van Gundy’s former team Knicks.

The franchise began play in the 1988–89 NBA season as an expansion team, where after a period of mediocrity, the Heat would gain relevance during the 1990s following the appointment of former Head Coach Pat Riley in 1995, who would lead Miami to seven consecutive playoff appearances (and two NBA Championships), highlighted by a simultaneous three-peat between 2006 and 2008 that constituted the franchise winning its first ever division title, as well as back-to-back Eastern Conference titles. In 2012, after losing in the NBA Finals Lebron James would lead Miami on a 27 game Winning Streak eventually tying for the longest winning streak in NBA history Following his departure in 2014, Dwyane Wade would lead Miami to their fourth consecutive division title before retiring in 2016 due to injuries.

The Miami Heat have made five appearances in the NBA Finals (2006, 2007, 2011–2014), where they marked their first ever Finals appearance in 2006 against the Dallas Mavericks Jason Terry’s missed 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the rim which Android TV later used as an advertisement for their system. In all but one of those appearances they were pitted against either Tim Duncan or Kobe Bryant and failed to emerge victorious; with their lone win coming against Dirk Nowitzki and Terry’s Mavericks during their second appearance in 2011. These Finals Losses took place despite having home court advantage each time (except for 2006).

The Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member club of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division. The Mavericks play their Home Games at the American Airlines Center which they share with the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars

The Mavericks were founded in 1980 as an expansion team and joined the NBA in 1980 as an expansion team. The team’s first season was a disaster, winless in their first season. They finished with a 15–67 record, worst in franchise history and second worst in NBA history to that point.
