In between, there are a handful of games that are considered “crossover” games, in which teams from one side of the league play teams from the other side.
For example, in the 2017-2018 season Bucknell (from the East Division) played Lehigh (from the West Division) twice. The game at Bucknell was considered a crossover game.

The Future
Looking ahead to the future of Patriot League Basketball it’s clear that there is no dominant team. That’s not to say that there aren’t any good teams, but rather that any of several teams could emerge as the league’s best in the coming years.
One team to watch is Binghamton. The Bearcats have a young, talented core of players and are coming off a season in which they finished second in the conference. They should be in contention for the title again next season.
Another team on the rise is Colgate. The Raiders had a bit of a down year last season, but they have a lot of young talent and will be looking to bounce back in a big way. They could be a dark horse contender for the conference crown.
And, of course, we can’t forget about defending champion Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks lost some Key Players from last year’s team, but they always seem to find a way to compete at a high level. They’ll be in the mix once again next season.
So, who will be on top when all is said and done? It’s impossible to say for sure, but one thing is certain: it should be an exciting few years of Patriot League basketball!
