With the NBA season in Full Swing it’s time to take a look at the most overrated players of all time. These are the guys who always seem to get more credit than they deserve, whether it’s because of their flashy style of play or their reputation as a “big-time” player. Here are the 10 most overrated NBA players of all time.

10. Baron Davis

Baron Davis was never the most talented player on the court, but he always seemed to get a lot of credit for his flash and style. He was a decent scorer and an above-average passer, but he was never able to lead a team to real success. He’s best remembered for his time with the “We Believe” Golden State Warriors who upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2007 playoffs. However, Davis shot just 39 percent from the field in that series and was eventually outplayed by fellow point guard Steve Nash

9. Rasheed Wallace

Rasheed Wallace is one of the most controversial players in NBA history and he’s also one of the most overrated. He was a talented scorer and rebounder, but he was plagued by technical fouls and meltdowns throughout his career. He was also a below-average shooter for a big man, shooting just 43 percent from the field for his career. Wallace had some good years with the Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons but he was never able to lead either team to an NBA title

8. Jerry Stackhouse

Jerry Stackhouse was always known as a scorer, but he was never able to do much else on the court. He averaged more than 20 points per game eight times in his career, but he shot just 43 percent from the field and 31 percent from three-point range Stackhouse also had some serious character issues, as he was suspended multiple times for fighting and arguing with refs. He had some good years with the Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers, but he was never able to lead either team to an NBA title

7. Stephon Marbury

The 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers went 9-73, setting the record for the fewest wins in a season. They also holds the dubious distinction of being the only team in NBA history to lose 70 games. The 1976-77 expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers were almost as bad, going 11-71.

The 1992-93 Dallas Mavericks were an abysmal 11-71, but that was good enough for them to avoid setting the record for fewest wins in a season. The 1993-94 Mavericks were even worse, winning just 13 games.

The 1997-98 Denver Nuggets went 21-61, but that was still better than the 1998-99 Nuggets, who won just 14 games. The 1999-00 Vancouver Grizzlies were also terrible, winning just 15 games.

In a season unlike any other, the NBA is finally back. After a long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the league is ready to resume play. Finally, there’s Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans Zion was drafted first overall last year but missed most of his rookie season due to injury. When he finally took the court last February, he quickly became one of the most exciting players to watch in the league. He has unreal potential and could be one of the best players in the league for years to come
