The 2017-2018 Toledo basketball schedule has been released and is now available for fans to view! The schedule features some big games, including a matchup with in-state rival Ohio State University

The 2017-2018 Toledo Basketball Schedule A Quick Overview

This year’s men’s Basketball Schedule for the University of Toledo has been announced, and there are some big games in store for the Rockets! Here is a quick overview of the schedule, so you can start planning your trips to the John F. Savage Arena.

The season starts off with an exhibition game against Wayne State on November 1st, followed by the regular season opener at home against Bowling Green on November 10th. The Rockets will have their first big test early on in the season, when they travel to Chapel Hill to take on the University of North Carolina Tar Heels on November 15th. Other notable games include a December 2nd matchup at home against Kent State as well as a December 16th game against crosstown rival Bowling Green at the Stroh Center.

The Conference Schedule begins on January 3rd, 2018, with a Home game against Eastern Michigan The Rockets will face some tough competition in conference play this year, with games against perennial favorites like Ohio State and Michigan State The final regular season game will be played on March 3rd at home against Western Michigan

The first round of the Mid-American conference tournament will begin on March 7th, and the Championship game will be played on Saturday, March 10th. If the Rockets can win the tournament, they will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament The NCAA Tournament starts on March 15th with the “First Four” play-in games, and concludes with the Final Four on April 2nd and 4th at the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas.

The 2017-2018 Toledo Basketball Schedule Non-Conference Games

The 2017-2018 Toledo Basketball Schedule has finally arrived and it looks to be a tough one! The Rockets will take on some tough non-conference opponents in order to prepare themselves for another grueling MAC conference schedule. Some of the notable games include:

-November 10th vs. Xavier: This will be the first true test of the season for the Rockets. Xavier is coming off of a Sweet Sixteen appearance last year and will be looking to make a run at the NCAA tournament again this season.

-November 15th vs. Cincinnati: Another tough road game for the Rockets, as they take on an experienced Cincinnati team. The Bearcats have made the NCAA tournament five times in the last six years, so this will be a good measuring stick for Toledo.

-December 2nd vs. Ohio State The always-anticipated matchup between these two in-state rivals. The Buckeyes are coming off of a disappointing 2016-2017 season, but they always have talent and will be looking to get back on track this year. This will be a tough game for the Rockets, but one that they always look forward to playing.

Toledo, Ohio – The 2017-2018 Toledo Basketball Schedule was released today and can be found here. The Rockets will appear on TV a total of 27 times this season, including 22 times on ESPN Networks (15 on ESPNU, four on ESPN2 and three on ESPNEWS). The remaining five games will be carried live on the CBS Sports Network (two games) and FOX Sports Ohio (three games).

For the first time ever, every Toledo home game will be televised live. Seventeen matches will air on ESPN Networks, eight on CBS Sports Network and two on Fox sports Ohio.
The Rocket radio network powered by Learfield’s Toledo Sports Properties, will broadcast all 30 regular season Games Live on News/Talk 1470 WWOH and Classic Rock 106.5 FM WTUE in Toledo. Ken Nitzel enters his 25th season as the Voice of the Rockets.
