-Lance Berkman: Berkman played for the Cardinals from 1999 to 2001 and was part of the team that went to the College World Series in 2000. He was inducted into the Louisville baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.

-Mike Giannone: Giannone was an Assistant Coach under McDonnell from 2007 to 2009 and helped lead the team to Omaha in 2007. He was named Head Coach at Towson University in 2010.
