Uah Baseball Roster

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) baseball team has announced its roster for the upcoming season The Chargers will have 27 student-athletes on the roster, including 14 pitchers and 13 Position players

UAH will have eight seniors on the roster, including pitchers Chase Nyman, Matthew Burch, and Austin Smith. The Chargers will also have seven juniors, six sophomores, and six freshmen.

Among the position players, senior first baseman Aaron George leads the way with a .308 career batting average George was named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference last season after hitting .295 with five home runs and 33 RBIs.

Junior second baseman Reece Osborn is also returning after a strong season offensively in which he batted .273 with two home runs and 19 RBIs. Other key returners include junior outfielder/pitcher Drew Eiland (.255, 3 HR, 15 RBI), sophomore infielder Christian Kelchner (.250, 1 HR, 9 RBI), and sophomore catcher Hunter James (.243, 2 HR, 11 RBI).

Uah Baseball Schedule

The University of Alabama in Huntsville Baseball Team will open its 2019 season on Friday, February 15th when they host the Seton Hill Griffins. The Chargers are coming off a 23-22 campaign in 2018 where they finished sixth in the Gulf South Conference with a 14-16 conference record. Uah will look to improve upon that finish this season and return to the GSC Tournament for the first time since 2016.

Uah Baseball Stats

The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s (UAH) Baseball Team has released its stats for the upcoming season The team is made up of 28 players, including 21 pitchers and seven position players.

Leading the team in batting average is senior infielder/outfielder Chandler Corbell, who hit .333 last season. He is followed by junior outfielder Will Anderson (.318), sophomore infielder/outfielder Chase Patterson (.309), and freshman infielder Dylan Parker (.303).

On the pitching side, senior right-hander Brandon Equality leads the way with a 2.48 ERA in 19 appearances (seven starts) last season. He is followed by junior right-hander Tanner Burns (3.38 ERA in 16 appearances/seven starts), sophomore right-hander McAlister Jensen (3.86 ERA in 22 appearances/five starts), and freshman right-hander Bubba Thompson (4.50 ERA in 10 appearances/four starts).
