He was a two-time All-American and led the team to the Elite Eight in 1986. Steve Fisher is UCSD’s All-time leading scorer with 2,183 points. He was a three-time All-American and is one of only two players in UCSD history to have his jersey retired. Doug Barrier is UCSD’s all-time leading rebounder with 1,201 rebounds. He was a two-time All-American and led the team to the Elite Eight in 1991.
Current Head Coach Eric Olen has continued the team’s tradition of success. He has led the team to five conference championships and three NCAA Division II tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2016.
