Junior center Cappie Pondexter is one of the best players in the SEC and one of the Top Players in the country. She is expected to be a leading candidate for SEC Player of the Year honors. Last season, Pondexter averaged 18.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game. She will once again be the focal point of Vanderbilt’s offense.

The Commodores have had thirteen head coaches most recently Stephanie White. White was hired on June 6, 2016, and is currently in her fourth season with the team. Under her leadership, the Commodores have made four NCAA tournament appearances and one WNIT appearance.
