On January 16, 2019, Edwards scored a career-high 26 points against the Los Angeles Lakers. In February 2019, he was named NBA G League Player of the Month after averaging 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers while on assignment from the Rockets..
Most recently, on July 15th 2019, he signed a multi-year deal with the Utah Jazz worth $4 million dollars.
