Prior to LeBarron, the head coach was Jon Shestak, who led the team to 10 conference championships and 8 NCAA Division III World Series appearances in his 15 years with the program.

The Facilities

The Glasford Family Field at York College is one of the finest facilities in all of NCAA Division III baseball The field was completed in the spring of 2007 and has a seating capacity for 400 spectators. The playing surface is state-of-the-art synthetic turf which was installed in the spring of 2010. The field dimensions are 325 feet down the lines, 375 feet to center field, and features 10-foot high fencing.

The Conference

The conference that the York College baseball team competes in is Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Spartans are a part of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). The CAC began sponsoring baseball in the spring of 1993. In late September of 1992, the conference’s Presidents Council voted to begin competition in baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and softball the following academic year. Competition in those four sports began in 1993-94.
