The 2013 NBA draft was a draft in which the National Basketball Association (NBA) held its annual selection meeting. The event was held on June 27, 2013 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It was televised nationally by ESPN. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the lottery and selected Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick.

They had done so since its inception in 2006.[4][5] Adam Silver was stationed at a desk hosting ESPN’s analysts while they announced the draft selections eat by round/pick. And during each commercial break as well as during both rounds 1 and 2 of the second night’s broadcast live from Barclays Center Segment Producer Nick Modugno[6] introduced each draftee as he walked across stage to meet Adam Silver for a quick photo call as well as conduct his first post-selection interview that would air immediately after returning from break.
