2019-20 NBA Season Predictions: Who Will Win it All?

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are changing, the days are getting shorter and the NBA season is just around the corner. With the start of the season comes our annual predictions for who will win it all.

2019-20 NBA season Predictions

The 2019-20 NBA season is nearly upon us, and there are plenty of storylines to keep an eye on. The Golden State Warriors have added All-Star guard D’Angelo Russell to their already star-studded lineup, while the New Orleans Pelicans will be led by No. 1 overall draft pick Zion Williamson

There are a number of teams that could realistically win the NBA title this season, but here are our predictions for who will ultimately come out on top.

Golden State Warriors
The Warriors made some big changes this offseason, most notably by trading away All-Star forward Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets However, they still have a core of Stephen Curry Klay Thompson and Draymond Green that should be able to compete for a championship. With Russell now in the mix, look for Golden State to make a run at another title.

Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers made a major splash this offseason by acquiring All-Star forward Anthony Davis from the Pelicans. Davis will team up with fellow All-Star Lebron James to form one of the most lethal duos in the NBA. Los Angeles also added some valuable role players in Danny Green and Demarcus Cousins and they should be one of the favorites to win it all this season.

Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks had the best record in the NBA last season and they appear to be even better heading into 2019-20. They lost sharpshooter Malcolm Brogdon in Free agency but they replaced him with former All-Star point guard Wesley Matthews. Milwaukee also has one of the best players in the league in Giannis Antetokounmpo who is coming off an MVP campaign. The Bucks should be right near the top of the standings once again this season and they will be a tough out come playoff time.

Who Will Win it All?

It’s that time of year again: The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling off and the NBA season is just around the corner. After a long offseason filled with moves, trades and controversies, it’s finally time to see how all of the pieces fit together.

The Warriors are once again the favorites to win it all, but they’ll have their hands full with a slew of talented teams gunning for them. The Bucks, 76ers and Rockets all made major improvements to their rosters and will be looking to dethrone Golden State

In the East, the Bucks are the clear-cut favorite to come out of the conference. They added an All-Star in Khris Middleton and complementary pieces in Brook Lopez and Wesley Matthews. They also have one of the best players in the league in Giannis Antetokounmpo who is coming off a historic MVP season.

The 76ers made a big splash in free agency by signing Al Horford away from the Celtics. Horford will add much-needed experience and leadership to a young Sixers team that fell just short of the Finals last year. They also added Josh Richardson, who gives them another solid perimeter defender to go along with Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris

The Rockets were one of the biggest winners of the offseason, as they were able to land Russell Westbrook in a trade with Oklahoma City Westbrook will team up with James Harden to form one of the most potent backcourts in NBA history The Rockets also added veterans Tyson Chandler and Thabo Sefolosha to solidify their bench unit.

It’s going to be an exciting season from start to finish, but only one team can come out on top. Who will it be?

Eastern Conference Predictions

It’s no secret that the Eastern Conference has been largely dominated by the Cleveland Cavaliers over the past few seasons. But with Lebron James now playing in the Western Conference it’s wide open as to who will come out on top in 2019-20. Here are our predictions for the top eight teams in the Eastern Conference

1. Milwaukee Bucks
With Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way, the Bucks are a force to be reckoned with. They also have a deep bench and a strong Coaching Staff

2. Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. They also have a Great Coach in Brett Brown and seem to have gelled well together.

3. Toronto Raptors
The Raptors are the defending champions and they have most of their Key Players from last season’s team back. They also added some depth with the acquisition of Marc Gasol

4. Indiana Pacers
The Pacers made some nice additions this offseason, including Malcolm Brogdon and Jeremy Lamb. They also have a core of young talent that should continue to improve.

5. Boston Celtics
The Celtics have a lot of talent, but they haven’t been able to put it all together so far this season. If they can figure things out, they could be a dangerous team come playoff time.

6. Brooklyn Nets
The Nets made some big additions this offseason, including Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant It will be interesting to see how they mesh together, but they should be one of the better teams in the East nonetheless.

7 Detroit Pistons The Pistons added some nice pieces this offseason, including Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris. They also have a solid core of players led by Blake Griffin 8 Orlando Magic The Magic made some surprising moves this offseason, including trading for Markelle Fultz and signing Al-Farouq Aminu

Western Conference Predictions

In the Western Conference the Los Angeles Lakers are the team to beat. Led by superstar Lebron James the Lakers have added several key pieces to their roster, including Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins With a strong core of young players the Lakers are poised to make a run at the title this season.

The Golden State Warriors will also be a force to be reckoned with in the West. Although they lost Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets in free agency they still have a talented roster that includes Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson The Warriors will be a tough team to beat in the playoffs.

The Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets are two other teams that could make some noise in the Western Conference this season. The Rockets have a dynamic duo in James Harden and Russell Westbrook while the Nuggets have a deep and talented roster that includes Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. Both teams should be able to contend for a spot in the Conference Finals

NBA Finals Predictions

It’s that time of year again. The NBA season is upon us and everyone is eager to see how their favorite team will fare. But more importantly, who will come out on top in the 2019-20 NBA Finals?

We’ve seen some shakeups in the offseason with Kawhi Leonard moving to the Los Angeles Clippers and Kevin Durant joining Kyrie Irving on the Brooklyn Nets These moves have certainly changed the landscape of the league and it will be interesting to see how they affect the playoffs.

As always, there are a few teams that stand out as favorites to win it all. The Golden State Warriors are always a force to be reckoned with and they’ve added All-Star D’Angelo Russell to their already impressive lineup. The Houston Rockets are also looking strong with MVP candidate James Harden leading the way.

Other teams that could make a run at the title include the Milwaukee Bucks Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers It’s shaping up to be an exciting season and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

Rookie of the Year Predictions

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are changing color, the air is getting cooler and the NBA season is just around the corner.
As excited as we are for another season of basketball, we can’t help but to look ahead and make some predictions for who will take home the coveted Larry O’Brien trophy come June.
But before we get to the Main Event let’s take a look at some of the rookies who will be looking to make their mark on the league this year.

Rookie of the Year Predictions
The race for Rookie of the Year is always tight and this year is no different. With a number of talented first-year players set to make their debuts, it’s anyone’s guess as to who will come out on top.
Here are our predictions:

Zion Williamson New Orleans Pelicans
There’s no doubt that Zion Williamson is one of the most highly anticipated rookies in recent memory. The 6’6” Power Forward was drafted first overall by the New Orleans Pelicans and has been hyped up since he was in High School
Williamson is an incredible athlete with a rare combination of size, strength and speed. He also has a tremendous work ethic and is determined to prove doubters wrong after suffering a Knee Injury that caused him to miss most of his only college season at Duke.
If Williamson can stay healthy, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be in contention for Rookie of the Year.

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies
Another player who is sure to make an immediate impact is Ja Morant. The 6’3” point guard was drafted second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies and will be tasked with leading a young Grizzlies team that also features fellow rookie Jaren Jackson Jr.
Morant is an explosive player with phenomenal vision and passing ability. He thrives in transition and has the potential to be a high-scoring point guard in the mold of Russell Westbrook or Damian Lillard
Morant has all the tools to be successful at the next level and should be one of the frontrunners for Rookie of the Year honors.

RJ Barrett, New York Knicks
After being drafted third overall by the New York Knicks RJ Barrett finds himself in an interesting situation. Barrett is a gifted scorer with elite athleticism and a high motor. He has all the makings of a future All-Star but he will have his work cut out for him on a Knicks team that doesn’t have much talent outside of him and second-year player Kevin Knox.
Barrett will likely see plenty of shots this season but it remains to be seen if he can shot efficiently enough from downtown (he shot just 30 percent from three-point range last season) and make enough plays for his teammates (he averaged just 2 assists per game). If Barrett can improve those areas of his game, he could put up big numbers as a rookie and have a real shot at winning Rookie of they Year honors.$

Defensive Player of the Year Predictions

It’s that time of year again — the NBA season is just around the corner! As basketball fans wait in anticipation for the new season to start, many are already making their predictions for who will take home the coveted Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Of course, there are a lot of factors that go into winning an NBA title but one of the most important is having a great defense. Last year’s champions, the Toronto Raptors had one of the best defenses in the league, and it was a big reason why they were able to beat the Golden State Warriors in the Finals.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the frontrunners for this year’s Defensive Player of the Year Award

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz
Gobert is arguably the best Defensive Player in the league, and he has won back-to-back defensive player of the Year awards. He is a big reason why the Jazz have been one of the best Defensive Teams in the league over the past few years.

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
Davis is one of the best two-way players in the league, and he should be a force on defense for the Lakers this season. He has finished in the top three in Defensive Player of the Year voting three times in his career.

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers
Leonard is another player who is great on both ends of the court. He won Defensive Player of The Year in 2015 and 2016, and he was a key part of Toronto’s championship run last year.

Sixth Man of the Year Predictions

With the 2019-20 NBA season tipping off this week, it’s time to start making some predictions. Who will win MVP? Rookie of the Year? Defensive Player of the Year? Here at sixth man of the Year, we’re looking at who we think will take home the coveted award for best bench player in the league.

Last year’s winner was Lou Williams of the Clippers, and he’s back in contention again this season. But there are plenty of other players who are looking to dethrone him, including Montrezl Harrell (also of the Clippers), Derrick Rose (of the Timberwolves), and Spencer Dinwiddie (of the Nets).

So who will win Sixth Man of the Year this season? We’re going with Montrezl Harrell He was a finalist for the award last season, and we think he has what it takes to take home the trophy this year. Keep an eye out for him as the season unfolds – he’s sure to be one of the top contenders for Sixth Man of the Year.
