The 2023 NBA Draft will be the 47th annual draft of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The draft is scheduled to be held on June 23, 2023, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. As the 202223 NBA season will end on May 16, this draft will likely be held in late June.
This class is loaded with talent and is already being called one of the best draft classes of all time. With Zion Williamson Ja Morant and RJ Barrett leading the way, there is a chance that as many as 10 players from this class could be All-Stars someday.

The Top Prospects
The 2023 NBA draft class is loaded with potential. In fact, many mock drafts have already been released. While it’s too early to say who will be the top pick, we can take a look at the top prospects and what they bring to the table.
Rookie of the year candidate Elijah Wagner is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class. The 6’7″ wing has the potential to be a true two-way player He’s an elite athlete with a high motor and a knack for making big plays.
Another player to keep an eye on is center Luke Coleman. The 7-footer has tremendous upside and could be a force on both ends of the court. He’s still raw offensively, but he has all the tools to develop into a very good player
small forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is another player with a lot of upside. The 6’8″ wing has great size and athleticism and is considered one of the best shooters in the class. He needs to continue to develop his all-around game, but he has the potential to be a very good player at the next level.
The Biggest Sleepers
The 2023 NBA Draft class is shaping up to be one of the most loaded in recent memory. There are a number of potential All-Stars and franchise cornerstones that will be selected come June.
In our latest mock draft we have a look at the Top 10 prospects in the class. While many of these prospects are well known, there are a few sleepers that could sneak into the lottery come draft night.
Elijah Wagner is one such prospect. The 6’9″ forward from UNLV has flown under the radar for much of his collegiate career, but he has all the tools to be a successful NBA player He’s an excellent shooter with range beyond the three-point line and he has the size and athleticism to defend multiple positions. Wagner is currently projected to go late in the first round, but don’t be surprised if he hears his name called much earlier on draft night.

1. C Elijah Wagner (Australia): Wagner is a 7-footer with good athleticism and a developing skill set. He has Good footwork and is a good shot-blocker. He needs to add strength and improve his offensive skills, but he has the potential to be a very good player.
2. PF/C Michael Akot (Canada): Akot is a 6-10 power forward/center with a nice combination of size, strength and athleticism. He’s a good rebounder and shot-blocker who needs to continue to develop his offensive game.
3. SF/PF Joel Ayayi (France): Ayayi is a 6-7 wing with excellent shooting ability and good athleticism. He’s also a very good rebounder for his position. he needs to continue to develop his ball-handling and playmaking skills, but he has the potential to be an excellent all-around player.
4. SG/SF Moses Moody (USA): Moody is a 6-6 wing with very good shooting ability and athleticism. He’s also a solid rebounder for his position. He needs to continue to develop his ball-handling and playmaking skills, but he has the potential to be an excellent all-around player.
The Most Intriguing Prospects
The 2023 NBA Draft class is loaded with talent and potential All-Stars. The top of the class is headlined by Duke’s Elijah Wagner, who is the clear-cut No. 1 prospect.
There is a lot of debate over who the second-best prospect is, but most agree that it’s a two-man race between Michigan State’s Jaren Jackson Jr. and Texas’ Mo Bamba. Jackson is a 6’11” Power Forward with an elite combination of size, athleticism and skill. Bamba, meanwhile, is a 6’10” center with off-the-charts physical tools and tremendous defensive potential.
Those three prospects are projected to go in the top five of most mock drafts but there are several other players who could be lottery picks in 2023. UCLA’s Lonzo Ball Kentucky’s Hamidou Diallo and Indiana’s OG Anunoby are all potential top-10 picks.

1. Elijah Wagner – Wagner is the consensus number one pick in the 2023 NBA draft He is a 6’10” power forward who averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game as a freshman at Duke. He has the size and skill to be an elite player in the NBA, and should be able to contribute right away.
2. Michael Porter Jr. – Porter Jr. is another highly talented freshman, and is widely considered to be the second best prospect in the draft class He is a 6’10” small forward who averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game at Missouri. Like Wagner, he has the size and skill to be an elite player in the NBA and should be able to contribute right away.
3. Marvin Bagley III – Bagley III is another freshman who is considered to be one of the best prospects in the draft class He is a 6’11” power forward who averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game at Duke. He has the size, skill, and athleticism to be an elite player in the NBA and should be able to contribute right away.
4. Collin Sexton – Sexton is a freshman point guard who averaged 25 points per game at Alabama. He has the speed, athleticism, and scoring ability to be an elite player in the NBA and should be able to contribute right away.
5. Deandre Ayton – Ayton is a freshman center who averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game at Arizona. He has the size, skill, and athleticism to be an elite player in the NBA and should be able to contribute right away
The Biggest Risks
Its always risky to take a chance on any prospect, with the possible exception of Zion Williamson but some players come with more risk than others. Heres a look at some of the biggest risks in the upcoming NBA draft class.
1. Elijah Wagner Wagner is a big risk because hes been injury-prone throughout his career. He missed most of his freshman year with a back injury and then missed significant time during his junior year with a foot injury. If he can stay healthy, Wagner has the potential to be a very good player, but thats a big if.
2. Jaren Jackson Jr. Jackson is another player with injury concerns. He missed time during his freshman year with a wrist injury and then missed most of his sophomore year with a Knee Injury Jackson has the potential to be a very good player, but until he can stay healthy for an entire season, hell be a risk for any team that drafts him.
3. Darius Garland Garland is one of the most polarizing prospects in this years Draft Class Some people believe he has the potential to be an All-Star level player, while others believe hes nothing more than a scorer off the bench. The truth is probably somewhere in between, but until Garland can prove himself at the NBA level, hell be a risk for any team that drafts him.
4. Cameron Reddish Reddish is another very polarizing prospect. Some people believe he has the potential to be a star in the league, while others believe hes nothing more than a role player Again, the truth is probably somewhere in between, but until Reddish can prove himself at the NBA level, hell be a risk for any team that drafts him.
5. Rui Hachimura Hachimura is one of the biggest risks in this years Draft Class because he hasnt played against high-level competition outside of Japan. He also hasnt faced much adversity in his career, so it remains to be seen how he will handle it when things dont go his way at the NBA level.
The Most Likely Busts
There is always risk associated with drafting any player, but some prospects simply look like bigger risks than others. This class has a few of those guys. Here are the most likely busts in the 2023 NBA Draft based on current mock drafts.

The Dark Horses
There are a few players who may not be at the top of mock drafts but could make an impact in the NBA. These are the dark horse prospects who could make an impact in the league.
Elijah Wagner was a four-star recruit who chose to play at UNLV instead of going to a bigger school. He was lightly recruited and didn’t get much attention, but he’s developed into a very good player. He has a nice outside shot and is a good rebounder. He’s not the biggest or strongest player but he has a lot of heart and determination. He’s flown under the radar for most of his career, but he has the potential to be a very good NBA player
Another dark horse prospect is Xavier Sneed. He was a four-star recruit who chose to play at Kansas State instead of going to a bigger school. He’s developed into a very good player and has an NBA-ready body. He’s athletic and can score in multiple ways. He needs to work on his outside shot, but he has all the tools to be a very good player in the NBA.

The Wild Cards
The 2023 NBA Draft class is loaded with top prospects But who are the wild cards? These are the prospects who could rise or fall on draft night and end up being the best or worst picks in the draft.
Mock drafts are always fun to look at, but they don’t always tell the whole story. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the 2023 NBA draft prospects who could be wild cards on draft night.
Rookie of the Year candidate Elijah Wagner is one of the most talented players in the class, but his size (6’4″) and age (22) could be seen as red flags by some teams. He has All-Star potential, but he could just as easily end up being a bust.
Wagner’s college teammate, point guard Jalen Green is another potential Wild Card Green is an incredible athlete with unlimited upside, but his basketball IQ has been questioned by some scouts. He could go anywhere from first overall to out of the lottery entirely.
Another point guard prospect to keep an eye on is Texas’ Kobe Bryan. Bryan is a gifted scorer with a high motor, but his lack of size (6’0″) and shooting ability (31% from three-point range) could be seen as major downside by some teams. He’s a definite Wild Card in this year’s draft class
