In addition to the traditional conference season, the Western Carolina University men’s Basketball team will participate in the Gotham Classic this year. The Gotham Classic is a multi-team event that takes place over several days in various locations around the country. Recaps

The Catamounts couldn’t quite keep up with the Bulldogs in the second half, losing 73-64. Western Carolina was led by senior guard Deriece Parks, who had 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Bulldog freshman guard Jamai Mitchell had a game-high 20 points.

Rumors

There have been rumors circulating about the upcoming Basketball Schedule for Western Carolina University. Here is what we know so far:

The season will tip off on November 10th with a Home game against Appalachian State

The next few weeks will see the team playing on the road against UNC Asheville Furman, and Wofford.

They will then return home to take onEast Tennessee State followed by a two-game road trip to Chattanooga and Samford.

The month of December will see the team playing at home against Coastal Carolina The Citadel, and UNC Greensboro. They will wrap up their pre-Conference Schedule with a game at Kennesaw State on December 29th.
