Jason Richardson is a shooting guard who plays for the Miami Heat He is 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. He was born on January 20, 1985, in Saginaw, Michigan. Richardson played High School basketball at Arthur Hill high school in Saginaw, where he was a three-time All-State selection. He then attended Michigan State University where he played college basketball for two seasons. In his sophomore year, he was named the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year.
Richardson was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NBA draft He played six seasons with the Warriors, averaging over 20 points per game three times. He was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats in 2007 and spent two and a half seasons with them before being traded to the Orlando Magic in 2009. In Orlando, he teamed up with Dwight Howard to form a potent scoring duo. Richardson averaged over 17 points per game in each of his three seasons with the Magic.
