Stetson Basketball Releases Their Schedule

The Stetson University men’s Basketball team has released their schedule for the upcoming season The Hatters will play a total of 30 games, 15 of which will be at home in the newly renovated Edmunds Center.

Stetson’s season will begin on Tuesday, November 5th with a road game against Florida State The Hatters will have their home opener on Saturday, November 9th against Warner University.

Stetson will face some tough competition this season, including road games at Power Five opponents Auburn and Indiana State The Hatters will also host Power Five foes Gonzaga and Notre Dame in the newly renovated Edmunds Center.

The Hatters will look to build off of last year’s success, when they won 23 games and made it to the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).

They will then have a Home game against Southeastern Louisiana on November 10th followed by a road game at Louisiana Monroe on November 13th.

The Games

Men’s and Women’s Basketball Release Their Schedule for the Year

The Stetson men’s and women’s basketball teams have released their schedules for the upcoming season The men’s team will play their first game on November 6th against Warner University, and the women’s team will play their first game on November 10th against Florida A&M University.

The Team

The Coaches

The Head Coach for the Stetson men’s basketball team is Casey Alexander, who is entering his third season. He has guided the Hatters to a 41-29 record and two ASUN conference tournament appearances. The women’s team will be coached by Lynn Bria, who is also in her third season. She has posted a 42-28 record and led the team to one WBI appearance.

The Arena

Stetson Basketball announced their home schedule for the upcoming season on Wednesday, which will feature 12 games at the Edward W. Spectrum sports Complex. The Hatters will open their home slate on Saturday, November 17th against Kennesaw State

Stetson’s first game in the new arena will be against in-state rival Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday, November 20th. That will be the first of four games against NCAA tournament teams from last season that the Hatters will host this year.

The Conference

The 2019-20 Stetson Basketball Schedule was released on Wednesday morning and it features plenty of tough tests for the Hatters. The conference play will be the toughest part of the schedule as the Hatters will face off against teams like Florida Gulf Coast Liberty, and Jacksonville. The non-conference play includes games against solid competition like Central Florida, South Florida and St. Joseph’s.

The non-conference portion of the schedule is highlighted by games against Florida State UCF, and Miami. Stetson will also travel to play at Washington State as part of the Hall of Fame Classic.

In conference play, the Hatters will face off against every team in the ASUN at least once, with home-and-home series against Kennesaw State NJIT, and USC Upstate Stetson will also host Liberty and North Florida for single games.

The Future
