Head Coach Tony Bennett returns for his ninth season at the helm, and he will be looking to lead the Cavaliers to another successful campaign.

The roster is highlighted by returning starters Kihei Clark and Mamadi Diakite, who are both seniors. Clark, a point guard is coming off a stellar junior season in which he averaged 9.6 points and 5.9 assists per game Diakite, a forward, was also a key contributor last season, averaging 12.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game Together, they will provide leadership and experience for a Cavaliers team that is looking to make another deep run in the NCAA tournament

The 2020-21 roster also features several talented newcomers who will be looking to make an impact right away. Newcomers:
-Darius Bazley: A 6’8” forward from Cincinnati, Bazley is a highly touted transfer from Syracuse. He was ranked as a top-10 recruit in the 2018 class and was named a McDonald’s All-American. Bazley opted to play in the G League instead of college basketball last season.
-Austin Reaves: A 6’5” guard from Oklahoma City Reaves transferred to Tulsa from Wichita State As a junior, he averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from three-point range Reaves will have to sit out this season due to NCAA transfer rules but will have two years of eligibility remaining starting in 2021-22.
--Brady Manek A 6’9” forward from Harrah, Oklahoma, Manek spent last season playing professionally in Australia after going undrafted in 2019. He appeared in 26 games for the Illawarra Hawks averaging 10 points and four rebounds per game

Returning Players:
-DaQuan Jeffries: A 6’5” guard from Dallas, Jeffries is Tulsa’s leading returning scorer after averaging 12.4 points per game last season. He also averaged 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 39 percent from three-point range.
-Lawson Korita: A 6’7” forward from Canada, Korita returns for his senior season after appearing in all 31 games for Tulsa last year. He averaged 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 37 percent from three-point range./p>

#23 – guard – Jordan Brown
Brown comes to Tulsa from Lincolnshire, Illinois. He played his freshman year of college basketball at Northern Illinois University before transferring to TU. Brown is a 6’4” guard who averaged 7.1 points per game last season.

#30 – forward – Elijah Joiner
Joiner is a local product, hailing from Edmond, Oklahoma. He played his High School basketball at Oklahoma Christian School before committing to TU. Joiner is a 6’6” forward who averaged 16 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior in high school

#32 – center – Martins Igbanu
Igbanu comes to Tulsa from Delta State in Mississippi. He played two seasons there, averaging 13 points and six rebounds per game last season. Igbanu is a 6’8” center who figures to be a key piece in the middle for the Golden Hurricane this season.

#0 – guard – Kaden Archibald-Hennegan
Archibald-Hennegan comes to TU from Keller, Texas. He played his high school ball at Keller Central before committed to play at Louisiana Tech After one season there, he transferred to Tulsa. Archibald-Hennegan is a 6’4” guard who averaged 3.5 points per game last season.

#2 – forward – Brandon Rachal
Rachal comes to Tulsa from Nederland, Texas. He played his high school ball at Nederland high school before committing to play at LSU. After one season there, he transferred to Tulsa. Rachal is a 6’6” forward who averaged 2.3 Points per game last season.

The 2020-21 Tu basketball roster Under the Radar

The 2020-21 Tu Basketball Roster is talented, but young and inexperienced. This team will be one to watch over the next few years as they develop and grow under the radar.

He is a good outside shooter and is also capable of driving to the basket and scoring in traffic. Nwandu is a good defender and has the ability to shut down opposing guards.

G – Mike Smith: A 6-2 sophomore guard from New York, Smith is a talented scorer who can shoot the Three-Point Shot or drive to the basket and finish in traffic. He averaged 8.2 points per game last season as a freshman and will be looked upon to score more this season. Smith is also a good defender and has the quickness to stay with opposing guards.

F – Myles Powell A 6-2 senior guard from Trenton, New Jersey, Powell is one of the best scorers in the country. He averaged 22.8 points per game last season and shot nearly 40 percent from three-point range. Powell can score from anywhere on the court and is also a good rebounder for his size. Powell is also a good defender and has the quickness to stay with most guards.

F – Mamadi Diakite: A 6-9 senior forward from Mali, Diakite is an experienced player who averaged 9.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game last season. He is a very good Defensive Player who can block shots and alter shots around the basket

*Senior Guard Nate Pierre-Louis*
A 6’4” guard from Newark, NJ, Pierre-Louis is Temple’s only senior and will be looked to as a leader both on and off the court. Pierre-Louis is coming off a junior season in which he averaged career highs in points (12.6), rebounds (5.4), assists (2.7), and steals (1.5) per game. He will once again be counted on to provide a spark on both ends of the floor and will be looked to as one of the team’s primary scoring options.

*Junior Guard Damian Dunn*
A 6’3” guard from Staten Island NY, Dunn is Temple’s second leading returning scorer from last season after averaging 9.4 points per game as a sophomore. Dunn is a versatile player who can score from anywhere on the court and is also a very good rebounder for his size. He will once again be counted on to provide scoring and energy off the bench for the Owls this season.

*Sophomore Guard Quinton Rose*
A 6’8” guard from Chester, PA, Rose was one of Temple’s most pleasant surprises last season as he emerged as one of the team’s best players early on. Rose ended up starting 29 games as a freshman and averaged an impressive 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while shooting nearly 37% from three-point range. Rose has All-American potential and will be counted on to take another step forward in his development this season as he looks to become one of the OWL’s best players.
