His best statistical season came in 1998 when he batted .312/.390/.553 with 39 home runs and 124 RBIs.

Alou’s time with the Expos came to an end following the 2001 season when he became a free agent He would go on to play for five different teams over the next six seasons before retiring from baseball after the 2006 season. In 1,942 career games, Moises Alou hit .303/.369/.516 with 316 home runs and 1,287 RBIs.
