Defensemen

The UNH Men’s Hockey Team currently consists of four defensemen. Below is a list of the current roster, including year, position, and major:

-Sophomore Jake Gaudet is from Nashua, New Hampshire and is majoring in Finance. He is a defenseman on the team.
-Junior Cameron Marks is from North Reading, Massachusetts and is majoring in Psychology. He is also a defenseman.
-Senior Warren Foegele is from Markham, Ontario and is majoring in Sport Studies. He captains the team as a defenseman.
-Freshman Benton Maass is from Andover, Minnesota and is undecided on his major. He rounds out the defensemen on the team.

Forwards

The University of New Hampshire Wildcats men’s Ice Hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college Ice hockey program that represents the University of New Hampshire. The Wildcats are a member of Hockey East They play at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire.

Team Captains

The University of New Hampshire men’s ice hockey team has announced their captains for the 2019-2020 season. Senior captain Matias Cleland and alternate captains Benton Maass, Charlie Kelleher, Micheal McNicholas will lead the Wildcats this season.

Team History

The University of New Hampshire men’s Ice Hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of New Hampshire. The Wildcats are a member of Hockey East They play at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire. UNH competes in 21 NCAA Division I sports and is a member of Hockey East and CAA.

Rivalries

Rivalries are key to any successful college hockey program and the UNH Wildcats are no different. The ‘Cats have a number of in-state and out-of-state rivals that help make Unh Hockey one of the most exciting programs in the country. Here’s a look at some of UNH’s biggest rivals:

Boston College Eagles:
The Boston College Eagles are one of UNH’s biggest rivals and the two teams have been playing each other since 1976. The ‘Cats and Eagles have met in the playoffs a number of times, with the most recent meeting coming in 2012 when BC defeated UNH in the Hockey East semifinals.

Maine Black Bears
The Maine Black Bears are another one of UNH’s biggest rivals and the two teams have been playing each other since 1977. The ‘Cats and Black Bears have met in the playoffs a number of times, with Maine winning the most recent meeting in 2014.

Boston University Terriers
The Boston University Terriers are another big rival of UNH and the two teams have been playing each other since 1978. The ‘Cats and Terriers have met in the playoffs a number of times, with UNH winning the most recent meeting in 2015.

UNH Mens Hockey in the news

The UNH Mens hockey team is back in action this season and looking to make some noise. The team is off to a great start, with a record of 3-0-1. The team is currently ranked #4 in the nation, and #1 in Hockey East

The team is led by captain Matty Maugeri, and features a balanced attack with eight different players scoring goals so far this season. The defense has been stellar as well, allowing only six goals in four games.

The UNH Mens hockey team looks to be a force to be reckoned with this season, and we will be following their progress closely.
