The history of Arcadia University men’s basketball began in 1904. The team has been a members of several leagues over the years, most notably the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division III Arcadia has also been a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). The team has never won a conference or National Championship

The Basketball Program began in 1904 when the school’s first men’s team was organized. The team played its first game against Albright College which Arcadia won by a score of 2220. The following season, the team joined the Middle States Basketball League which it played in for two years. In 190809, the team had its first winning season with a record of 106. In 190910, Arcadia joined the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), which it would play in for two years.

In 191112, the team had its second winning season with a record of 128. That year, the team also played in the first ever game at what is now known as Greyhound Arena. In 191213, Arcadia again had a winning season with a record of 117. In 191314, the team had its fourth and final winning season to date with a record of 135. That year, Arcadia also left the PSAC to become an independent school.

In 191415, Arcadia joined the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The following season, 191516, was the teams’s first losing season with a record of 611.
