Dodge County high school basketball is back and better than ever! With a new Head Coach and a promising team, the school is looking to make a comeback in the sport.
The previous season was full of ups and downs, but the team is motivated to show everyone what they are capable of this year. The Basketball Program has been working hard to improve its skills and strategies, and it is ready to take on any challenge.
The community has been supporting the team since its first game, and they continue to show their dedication through attendance at matches and purchasing merchandise. The team wants to thank everyone for their support and promises to give their all in every game.
The return of Dodge County high school Basketball
After an exciting few months of off-season training, the Dodge County High School basketball teams are finally back in action! The boys’ team is looking to build on their success from last year, when they won the State Championships while the girls’ team is hoping to make a comeback after a disappointing loss in the playoffs.
Either way, it’s sure to be an exciting season for both teams, and we can’t wait to see what they can achieve!

Dodge County High School Basketball is back and better than ever! With a new head coach and a revamped team, the DCHS basketball team is looking to make a run at the state championship Here’s what’s new with Dodge County high school Basketball:
-New Head Coach Coach Johnson comes to Dodge County high school with 10 years of experience coaching at the Division 1 level. He is a proven winner, and has a passion for teaching the game of basketball
-Revamped Roster: With only 3 seniors on the team, the majority of the roster is made up of underclassmen. This young team will be led by junior point guard Davion Mitchell. Mitchell is a dynamic playmaker that can score, and also create for his teammates. He will be counted on to carry this team offensively.
-Improved Defense: One of the biggest areas of focus for Coach Johnson has been on defense. The team has been working hard in practice on fundamentals and communication. If they can improve their defense, they will be a tough team to beat come tournament time.

It’s been an exciting start to the season for Dodge County high school Basketball. The team has already accomplished a lot, including winning the47th Annual Thanksgiving Tournament. This is a huge accomplishment for the team, as they have not won the tournament in 15 years. The team is off to a great start and we can’t wait to see what else they will achieve this season!
Dodge County High School Basketball- player profiles
Dodge County high school basketball is back for the 2019-2020 season! Under the leadership of Head coach Michael Doss, the team is looking to build on last year’s 14-11 record. Here is a look at this year’s team:
The starting lineup will feature two seniors, two juniors, and one sophomore. The seniors are point guard Devin Johnson and shooting guard Malik Marshall. Johnson was the team’s leading scorer last year, averaging 15 points per game He is also a very good passer and defender. Marshall is a good all-around player who can score, rebound, and play defense He averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game last year.
The juniors are small forward Jaylen Wimbush and Power Forward Jaden McGill. Wimbush is a good outside shooter who can also put the ball on the floor and get to the basket. He averaged 10 points per game last year. McGill is a big body who can score inside and rebound well. He averaged 8 points and 8 rebounds per game last year.
The team’s only sophomore is center Javon Brown. Brown is a big, athletic player who runs the court well and finishes strong around the basket. He averaged 6 points and 6 rebounds per game last year as a freshman.
Off the bench, the team will have three seniors, two juniors, and one sophomore. The seniors re shooting guard/small forward Joe Dumars, power forward/center Braden McArthur, and point guard/shooting guard Deandre Benjamin. Dumars is a good outside shooter with quickness that allows him to get to the basket as well. McArthur is another big body who can rebound and block shots Benjamin provides good defense off the bench as well as some scoring punch.
The juniors are small forward/shooting guard Trayvon Reed and small forward Trevon Williams. Reed is another good shooter with quickness that allows him to get to the basket as well as play solid defense

Since the team’s inception in 1909, the Dodge County high school Basketball team has been a source of pride for the students, staff, and alumni. For many years, the team was a dominant force in the state, winning numerous championships. Recently, however, the team has struggled, failing to make the playoffs in the last three years.
Despite the team’s struggles, the fans remain loyal. They pack the stands for every Home game cheering loudly for their team. They are hopeful that this year will be different and that their team will return to its rightful place atop the standings.
The players are aware of the fans’ support and appreciate it. They know that they have to work hard to regain their former glory. With a new coach and a talented group of players, they are confident that they can make a run at the championship this year.
The season is just getting underway, but already it is clear that this Dodge County High School basketball team has the potential to be special. The fans are behind them every step of the way and will continue to be until they once again hoist the trophy at season’s end.
