ESPN’s Mock NBA Draft

ESPN’s NBA draft experts have once again put together their best guesses as to how the first round of the NBA Draft will play out.

ESPN’s Top 10 Prospects

1. Zion Williamson PF, Duke
There is no player in this draft with a higher ceiling than Williamson, who at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, is an absolutely massive human being with blazing speed, inhuman leaping ability and the coordination of a player much smaller. He also has outstanding hands and excellent touch around the basket, making him an almost unguardable force on the offensive end. Simply put, he has the potential to be one of the best players in the NBA.

2. Ja Morant, PG, Murray State
Morant is an electric playmaker with elite scoring ability. He averaged 24.5 points per game last season while shooting nearly 38 percent from 3-point range, and he also averaged 10 assists and 5.7 rebounds. He’s an outstanding athlete with great size for a point guard (6-foot-3, 175 pounds) and he has the potential to be a very good defender at the next level.

3. R.J. Barrett, SF/PF, Duke
Barrett is one of the most accomplished scorers in this Draft Class He averaged 22.6 points per game last season while shooting 45 percent from the field and 33 percent from 3-point range. He’s also a very good rebounder (8 per game) and has decent playmaking skills (4 apg). The biggest question mark with Barrett is his defense; he has the potential to be very good on that end but his effort level has been questioned by some scouts.

4. Jarrett Culver, SG/SF Texas Tech
Culver was one of the breakout stars of last season’s NCAA tournament leading Texas Tech to the National Championship game while averaging 18 points and 6 rebounds per game for the season. He’s a very good all-around player with great size for his position (6-foot-6), and he has shown vast improvement as a 3-point shooter over the past two years (he shot 36 percent from deep last season). Culver needs to improve his decision-making as a playmaker but he has all the tools to be a very good two-way player at the next level.

5.. De’Andre Hunter, SF/PF Virginia
Hunter is one of the best defensive prospects in this draft class he’s long (6-foot-7), athletic and quick enough to defend multiple positions at a high level. He’s also improving as an offensive player after averaging just 9 points per game as a sophomore, he upped his scoring average to 15 points per game last season while shooting nearly 52 percent from the field and 45 percent from 3-point range. Hunter isn’t much of a playmaker but his combination of shooting and defense makes him a very valuable prospect nonetheless

Most roasters have specialized names for their favored roasts and there is very little industry standardization. This can cause some confusion when you’re buying, but in general, roasts fall into one of four color categories — light, medium, medium-dark and dark.

Many consumers assume that the strong, rich flavor of darker roasts indicates a higher level of caffeine, but the truth is that light roasts actually have a slightly higher concentration. The perfect roast is a personal choice that is sometimes influenced by national preference or geographic location. Within the four color categories, you are likely to find common roasts as listed below. It’s a good idea to ask before you buy. There can be a world of difference between roasts.

What are the biggest needs for each team?

As the season winds down and prospects begin to declare for the draft, it’s time to take a look at what each team might be looking for come June.

The Phoenix Suns own the first pick in the draft and will likely use it on Deandre Ayton, the best player available. The Suns could also use some help in the backcourt, as Josh Jackson has not panned out and they don’t have a true point guard on their roster.

The Sacramento Kings will likely use the second pick on Marvin Bagley III as they need help in the frontcourt after trading away Demarcus Cousins last season. The Kings could also look to add a wing player that can score, as they don’t have many outside shooters on their roster.

The Atlanta Hawks will have a tough decision to make with the third pick, as they could use help at just about every position. However, they may opt to take Luka Doncic the best player available regardless of position. Doncic is a wing player that can shoot and handle the ball, two things that the Hawks desperately need.

The Memphis Grizzlies will likely use the fourth pick on Jaren Jackson Jr., as they need help at both forward positions. Jackson is an athletic big man that can block shots and shoot from outside, two things that would be a welcome addition to the Grizzlies’ frontcourt
