-Harrison Green: Harrison is a junior guard from Los Angeles California. He is a three-time All-American and was named the National Player of the Year in his senior year of High School Harrison is known for his shooting ability and is one of the top scorers in the country.

-AJ Mills: AJ is a sophomore guard from Detroit, Michigan. He was a highly sought-after recruit, and he chose Grand Canyon because of its strong Basketball Program and academics. AJ is an excellent shooter and playmaker, and he is expected to be one of the leaders of the team in his sophomore season.

-Luke Wilkinson: Luke is a freshman guard from Phoenix, Arizona. He was a late addition to the roster, but he has already made an impact with his shooting ability. Luke has a chance to be one of the best shooters in the country, and he will be an important part of the team’s success this season.

The Coaches

There are four Basketball Coaches for the Grand Canyon University men’s and women’s teams. They are: Head Coach Dan Majerle, Associate head coach Bryce Drew, Assistant Coach Greg Francis, and Director of basketball operations Andy Hill.

The Schedule

The team’s non-Conference Schedule is highlighted by games against Kansas, UCLA, and Notre Dame The Jayhawks and Bruins are perennial powers in college basketball and the Irish have been to the NCAA tournament three times in the last four years.

The Fans

The Grand Canyon Antelopes men’s Basketball team is the basketball team that represents Grand Canyon University located in Phoenix, Arizona, in the NCAA Division I. They play their home games at GCU Arena in Phoenix. The Antelopes are currently coached by Bryce Drew. The Antelopes have appeared in two NCAA Division I Tournaments. The Antelopes first made the NCAA Tournament in 2018, where they defeated IUPUI and lost to Texas Tech in the Round of 32. In 2019, the Antelopes made the NCAA tournament again as a #15 seed, defeating Hofstra in the First Four before losing to Iowa State in the Round of 64.

As of the beginning of the 2019-20 season the Antelopes have an all-time record of 510-437 (.539).

The Arena

The Arena, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is the home of the Grand Canyon University men’s basketball team The first game was played on December 5, 2008, against UC Santa Barbara The Lopes have since amassed a record of 121-41 (.746), winning the Western Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2011 and again in 2013. They have also won four conference tournament championships (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013), which earned them berths in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament

In 2009, the Lopes made their first appearance in the NCAA tournament defeating Ivy League champion Cornell before losing to top-seeded Louisville in the second round. In 2011, they defeated Missouri in the first round before losing to Indiana. In 2012, they defeated Pittsburgh in the first round before losing to Wichita State In 2013, they defeated New Mexico State in the first round before losing to Oklahoma.

The Lopes currently have 14 players on their roster.

The History

The Grand Canyon men’s basketball team has a long and storied history. The team has been to the NCAA tournament four times and the NIT once. They have produced several NBA players including Dan Majerle, Ike Austin, and Shawn Marion. The team is currently coached by Dan Majerle, who took over in 2013.

The Championships

In 1947, the Grand Canyon Basketball team became the National Champions They were the first team in the history of the school to ever make it to the NCAA Tournament The team was led by coach Jerry Tarkanian and was made up of players from all around the country. The team went on to win the Championship game against the University of Kansas Jayhawks

The Future

The 2019-2020 season is the first under new Head Coach Bryce Drew. The Devildogs will look to make a splash in the conference with a young and upcoming team. This team has the potential to be really special andController make some noise come tournament time.
