The Johnson and Wales basketball arena is a 3, 200 seat facility that is home to the Johnson and Wales basketball teams The arena opened in November of 2010 and is located on the university’s main campus in Charlotte, North Carolina The arena is also home to the university’s volleyball and wrestling teams.

The basketball arena is named after alumnus Johnny existent, who played on the Johnson and Wales men’s Basketball team from 1957 to 1961. Existent is a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and the Charlotte Sports Hall of Fame

The arena has a state of the art scoreboard, which was installed in 2012. The scoreboards are made by Daktronics and are LED units. The center-hung display board that hangs above the court measures approximately 28 feet wide by 16 feet tall, while the two side-mounted displays measure approximately 22 feet wide by 12 feet tall.
