LSU’s top recruiting prospects for the class of 2020

As the 2019-2020 college Basketball season approaches, LSU’s men’s basketball team is already looking ahead to next year’s recruiting class The Tigers have their sights set on several top prospects including five-star guard Jalen Suggs and four-star forward Greg Brown

Jalen Suggs is ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2020 class by ESPN. The 6-foot-5 guard from Minneapolis is a versatile player who can score, rebound and defend. LSU is one of the schools in contention for Suggs, along with Kansas, Kentucky and Marquette.

The Tigers currently have two 247Sports Composite five-Star Prospects in their 2021 class in guard Cameron Thomas and forward Harrison Ingram They also have a pair of four-star prospects in center Henry Tolefree and small forward Percy Johnson.

Cameron Thomas – 5-star guard – No. 18 overall prospect
A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Thomas is one of the most prolific scorers in the country. He’s a gifted shooter with deep range and he can also put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Percy Johnson – 4-star small forward – No. 103 overall prospect
Johnson is an athletic wing who can score in multiple ways. He’s an excellent jump shooter with deep range, but he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. Johnson would give LSU another scoring threat on the wing, which is always valuable in college basketball

The LSU Basketball Program is currently in the midst of a strong recruiting cycle for the class of 2022. Here are some of the top prospects that the Tigers are targeting:

-5-star PF EJ montgomery: The top-ranked Power Forward in the class of 2022, Montgomery is a physical presence with a versatile skill set. He would be an immediate impact player for LSU.

As of right now, LSU’s Recruiting Class of 2022 is looking pretty good. They have already secured commitments from some top prospects including five-star point guard Mikey Williams Williams is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the class by 247Sports, and he should be a big help to the Tigers next season.

LSU is also in the mix for some other top prospects including five-star shooting guard Jaden Hardy (No. 6 overall) and five-star power forward Emoni Bates (No. 7 overall). If they can land either of those two players, it would be a huge coup for the program.
