From the Minor Leagues to the Major Leagues
Mason Black was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the eleventh round of the 2013 MLB Draft He played in the minor leagues for two years before being called up to the Major Leagues in 2015. He played for the Orioles for one season before being traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2016. He played for the Pirates for one season before being traded to the San Francisco Giants in 2017.

Mason Black was drafted in the first round of the MLB draft by the New York Yankees He was considered one of the top prospects in baseball and was expected to be a key piece of the Yankees’ future. Mason Black’s First Season in the Major Leagues
Mason Black had always dreamed of playing baseball in the major leagues So when he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft he was ecstatic. He quickly made his way through the Minor League ranks and, by mid-August, he was called up to the big leagues
Mason’s first few weeks in the majors were rough. He struggled to adjust to the speed of the game and the level of competition. He appeared in 13 games, but only started in two of them. He batted a measly .143/.200/.143 with no home runs and no RBIs.
Despite his struggles, Mason refused to give up on his dream. He continued to work hard and, by September, he started to see results. In his last 14 games of the season, he batted .333/.414/.667 with three home runs and eight RBIs.

Now, Mason is one of the top prospects in the Orioles organization, and he is on the cusp of making his Major League debut. But while he is excited for the opportunity to play at the highest level he knows that there is still a lot of work to be done before he can call himself a big leaguer.
Mason is currently working on refining his pitches and improving his stamina, so that he can be an effective pitcher at the Major League level. He is also working on improving his hitting, so that he can contribute offensively as well.
