After much anticipation, the 2022 Mcneese baseball schedule is finally here! The Cowboys will open their season on the road against former Southland Conference rival LSU on February 17. From there, they’ll head to Baton Rouge for a three-game series against Louisiana Tech before returning home to Lake Charles to take on Nicholls State in their first home series of the season. Other notable games on the schedule include ahome matchup against defending National Champion Arkansas on March 14, as well as a visit from SEC power Ole Miss on May 16. The team will open their season on the road against LSU on February 17th. They will then have a home series against Nicholls State from February 24-26. March will see the team play series against Northwestern State, Sam Houston State Central Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana They will also have midweek games against Lamar, Mcneese State and Stephen F. Austin.

April will be a busy month for the team as they play conference series against Abilene Christian Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word They will also have midweek matchups against Nicholls State, New Orleans, Tulane, and UT Arlington. The team will close out their regular season at home against UIW on May 20th-22nd.

The Southland conference tournament is set to begin on May 25th in Sugar Land, Texas. The tournament will be a double-elimination format and the top eight seeds will qualify for it. Mcneese is looking to make a run at the conference title and earn a spot in the NCAA tournament
