The Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines Men’s basketball team is a Division I college Basketball team that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Introduction

The Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines men’s basketball team is a NCAA Division II Basketball Program that competes in the Great Lakes collegiate athletic conference The Wolverines are currently coached by B.J. Recchia, who is in his fourth season at the helm of the program. The Wolverines play their home games at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse, which has a capacity of 1,200 fans.

Roster

The Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines men’s Basketball team is composed of a diverse group of young men who have come together to achieve a common goal: winning basketball games

The roster includes players from all over the United States as well as some International Players

The team is currently coached by Head Coach Jaren Hayes, who is in his first season with the Wolverines.

Schedule

The 2019-2020 Schedule has not been released yet, but is expected later this summer.
The team will open their season with an exhibition game against the University of Windsor on November 1st.

Coaches

The Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines Men’s Basketball team is led by head coach Chris FIncher. Coach Fincher is in his first season as the Head Coach of the Wolverines. Before coming to Michigan-Dearborn, he spent six seasons as an Assistant Coach at Northern Kentucky University He helped lead the Norse to two Horizon League regular season titles, two Horizon League tournament titles, and two NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament appearances.

The Wolverines also have two assistant coaches Steve Viterbo and Nate Neveau. Steve Viterbo is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Wolverines. He has previous experience coaching at the High School level, spending time as the Head coach at Madison Heights Bishop Foley Catholic high school and as an assistant coach at Warren De La Salle Collegiate high school Nate Neveau is also in his first season as an assistant coach with the Wolverines. He comes to Michigan-Dearborn after spending six seasons as an assistant coach at Rochester College.

History

The Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines men’s basketball team is a NCAA Division II college basketball team representing the University of Michigan Dearborn. The Wolverines are members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and play their home games at the Fieldhouse on the UM-Dearborn campus.

The Wolverines Basketball Program has been in existence since 1970. The team has made four appearances in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament with their most recent appearance coming in 1992. In total, the Wolverines have compiled a record of 521-583 (.472) over their fifty-year history.
