The Stony Brook University baseball team is a Division I college baseball team that competes in the America East Conference The team is currently coached by Matt Senk, who has been the Head Coach since 2006. The team plays its home games at Joe Nathan Field on the university’s campus in Stony Brook New York.

Stony Brook has appeared in two NCAA Tournaments. Their first appearance came in 2012 after winning the America East conference tournament They then qualified for the tournament again in 2016 after winning both the regular season and conference tournament titles. In 2016, they defeated the University of Miami in the Coral Gables Regional to advance to their first ever Super Regional There, they lost to eventual College World Series participant Oklahoma State University two games to zero.
