Kyle Bump: Kyle is an outfielder from Pennsylvania who is known for his outstanding work ethic. He is always looking to get better and help his team win games.

The Fans

The History

The South Mountain Community College (SMCC) Baseball Team is a relatively new addition to the athletic department, having only been established in 2001. But in the short time since its inception, the team has made great strides, steadily improving each year and becoming a formidable force in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC).

SMCC baseball got off to a rocky start, posting a record of just 4-28 in their inaugural season. But under the leadership of Head Coach Tony Cirelli, the team began to turn things around. In 2002, they improved their record to 15-27 and then made their first appearance in the ACCAC tournament. The following year was even better, with an overall record of 24-23 and another trip to the ACCAC tournament.

Since then, SMCC baseball has continued to ascend, posting winning seasons in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. They have also qualified for the ACCAC tournament every year since 2003 and have won conference titles in 2010 and 2013. In 2015 they had their best season yet with an overall record of 39-15 and a conference record of 25-5. They made it all the way to the NJCAA Division II World Series before falling short in the semi-finals.

The Future

The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Baseball team is one of the fastest-rising programs in the country. Just five years ago, the team was a Division III club team. Today, they are a Division I program and are nationally ranked.

The team is led by head coach Steve Trimper, who has been with the program since its inception. Trimper has led the team to four straight conference championships and two Regional Championships In 2017, the team made their first trip to the College World Series

The future is bright for SMCC baseball. With Trimper at the helm, the team is poised for continued success on the national stage.

The Stadium

SMCC Baseball is a team on the rise, and a big part of their recent success is due to their new stadium. The stadium was built in 2004 and has a capacity of 1,000 people. The Schedule

The Playoffs
