The Suny Adirondack baseball team is headed to Nationals in Iowa after winning the Northeast District Championship.
The Suny Adirondack baseball team has qualified for the NJCAA National Championship tournament for the first time in program history. The team finished the regular season with a record of 32-12 and earned the number one seed in Region III.
The Suny Adirondack baseball team is headed to Nationals! This is the first time in the school’s history that they have qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series The team earned their spot by winning the regional tournament and defeating nationally ranked Erie Community College in the process.
The team’s success is due in large part to their strong pitching staff. Their ace, sophomore left-hander Tyler Hill has been nearly untouchable all season long In 14 starts, he has an ERA of 1.32 and has struck out 106 batters in just 101 innings pitched His dominance has helped lead the team to a 29-10 record overall.
The team will now head to Grand Junction Colorado to take on Clarkson University in the first round of the double-elimination tournament. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and is scheduled for Friday, May 25th at 3:00pm EST.

It is the first time in school history that the team has qualified for the World Series which will be held from May 27-June 2 at Lewisberry, Pennsylvania.

The SUNY Adirondack Generals baseball team is headed to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series after winning the NJCAARegion III tournament on Sunday.
The Generals, who are the top seed in the eight-team National Tournament will open play on Saturday, May 27, against fourth-seeded Rowan College at 12:30 p.m. EDT at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Tyler, Texas.
SUNY Adirondack (34-12) won the region title with a 9-1 victory over second-seeded Herkimer County Community College
The Suny Adirondack Baseball Team is headed to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series after winning the Region III tournament on Sunday.
The team, which is made up of mostly local Community College students, entered the double-elimination tournament as the sixth seed. But they went on to upset third-seeded Herkimer County Community College second-seeded Mohawk Valley Community College and top-seeded Onondaga Community College to punch their ticket to Iowa for the national tournament.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling,” said Suny Adirondack Head Coach Steve Movies. “To come from where we did and to win four games against quality opponents, it’s just a great feeling for our guys.”
Suny Adirondack will now face Fort Scott Community College in the Opening Round of the national tournament on May 27.

The team will now head to Greeneville, Tenn., where they will play their first game on Saturday, May 25, against Tyler Junior College out of Texas.

The team’s head coach Nateece admissions counselor Mike Gallo, said the team is excited to be headed to the World Series “Our guys have worked hard all season and they deserve this opportunity,” he said. “We’re looking forward to representing SUNY Adirondack and the Northeast region well.”
