The World Series is Here!

The World Series is the annual Championship Series of Major League Baseball (MLB). The event was first held in 1903, and since then has been held every year except 1904 and 1994. The winner of the World Series receives the Commissioner’s Trophy.

The best-of-seven playoff series is played between the champions of the two leagues: the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). The AL champion plays the NL champion in a best-of-seven series to determine which league’s team will be crowned World Series champion for that year.

The World Series baseball Bracket

The MLB playoffs have wrapped up and the 2018 World Series bracket is set! The Boston Red Sox will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a epic battle of two of baseball’s most storied franchises. Who will come out on top?

The World Series will begin on Tuesday, October 23 at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. The best-of-seven series will then move to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for game three on Friday, October 26. The schedule for the remainder of the series has not yet been announced.

This year’s World Series promises to be a matchup for the ages. The Red Sox are led by sluggers J.D. Martinez and Mookie Betts while the Dodgers boast one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. With two teams this evenly matched, it’s anybody’s guess who will come out on top.

So far this postseason, the Red Sox have looked like the team to beat. They swept the rival Yankees in the ALDS, then went on to defeat the defending champion Houston Astros in four games in the ALCS. The Dodgers, meanwhile, had a much tougher road to the World Series narrowly defeating both the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers in seven-game series.

No matter who you’re rooting for, this year’s World Series is sure to be a can’t-miss event. So make sure to tune in starting October 23rd!
