The Tennessee Volunteers are set to have a tough season, with games against some of the best teams in the country. However, they have a chance to make some noise in the NCAA tournament if they can get hot at the right time. Here is a quick overview of their schedule:
November:
The Volunteers start their season with a few tune-up games against lower-level opponents. They will then have their first big test of the season when they travel to face Gonzaga on November 26th. This will be a good early measure of where they stand as a team.
December:
In December, the Vols will have several more non-conference games against good teams. They will travel to face North Carolina on December 11th, and then have a Home game against Clemson on December 18th. These will be two more good tests for Tennessee.
January:
The Vols begin SEC play in January with a home game against Florida on January 8th. They will then go on the road to face Kentucky and LSU before returning home to take on Auburn on January 22nd. The rest of their schedule in January is fairly manageable, with only one more road game against Arkansas.
February:
February is when things really start to heat up for the Volunteers. They will have several tough road games, including trips to face Missouri, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. They will also have a home game against Marquette that will be tough test. If they can survive this stretch, they should be in good position heading into March Madness
