The University of North Dakota’s men’s Hockey Team is set to compete in the National Collegiate Hockey conference during the 2019-2020 Season The conference comprises of teams from across the United States including Colorado College The University of Denver Minnesota-Duluth, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State University St. Cloud State University and Western Michigan University. The conference tournament will be held in early March 2020, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Tournament
Previous Games
The University of North Dakota’s men’s Ice Hockey team began the 2020-21 season on October 3, 2020, and will end the regular season on March 6, 2021. The team will then compete in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) tournament and, if they qualify, the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice hockey Tournament. The schedule below is subject to change.

Other games of note are against long time rivals such as The University of Minnesota University of Wisconsin, and Michigan Tech University.
Team History
The University of North Dakota men’s ice hockey team is the college Ice Hockey team at the Grand Forks North Dakota campus of the University of North Dakota They are members of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and compete in NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey UND has won eight NCAA National Championships and sixteen conference championships The program has produced many Olympians, professional players and NHL broadcasters. The Fighting Hawks play their home games at Ralph Engelstad Arena, which opened in 2001 and seats 11,640 fans.
UND began competing in intercollegiate hockey in 1922. They joined the Midwest Collegiate Hockey League (MCHL) in 1951, winning their first conference championship that year. The team left the MCHL to help form the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) prior to the 1958–59 season, winning a WCHA championship in 1959. UND joined the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) for two seasons from 1981 to 1983 before returning to the WCHA; when CCHA dissolved in 2013 due to defections to other leagues, UND once again became a charter member of the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

Some of the most spirited college hockey rivalries play out on the rink at the University of North Dakota The Fighting Hawks take on cross-border rivals, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the University of Wisconsin Badgers in some of college hockey’s most heated match-ups.

The University of North Dakota’s hockey schedule for the upcoming season has been announced, and fans are already looking forward to another exciting year.
UND will open the season at home on October 6 against the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. The team will then hit the road for a series against the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks UND will return home on October 20 to take on the Michigan Tech University Huskies.

The non-Conference Schedule features games against traditional college hockey powers like Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Boston College UND will also participate in the highly-anticipated U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game against St. Cloud State on December 12, 2020.
