NBA Transactions
The NBA offseason is in Full Swing and there have already been a number of big moves. The most recent move saw All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Isaiah Thomas Jae Crowder Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets’ 2018 first-Round Draft pick.
This move comes as a bit of a surprise since Irving had just signed a contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers last summer. However, it seems that Irving was unhappy with his role on the team and wanted to be the focal point of a franchise. He’ll certainly get that opportunity in Boston.
It’s still early in the offseason, but there have been a number of other notable transactions. The Milwaukee Bucks acquired point guard Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for center Greg Monroe and two future draft picks The Indiana Pacers traded forward Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Victor Oladipo and forward Domantas Sabonis.
These are just a few of the many moves that have been made so far this offseason. It should be an interesting few months leading up to the start of next season.
