UTEP’s new basketball coach Rodney Terry, is ready to lead the Miners to victory. Coach Terry comes to UTEP with a wealth of experience, having coached at the collegiate and professional levels. He has a proven track record of success, and he is committed to helping UTEP’s Basketball Program reach new heights.
Coach Terry is a strong leader who knows how to motivate his players. He is a talented tactician who knows how to put his team in position to win. Chris Jans is the new head men’s basketball coach at the University of Texas at El Paso. He comes to the miners after a successful run as Head Coach at Bowling Green State University where he led the Falcons to a conference championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament
Jans is a proven winner, and he is ready to take the UTEP program to new heights. He has assembled a talented staff of assistant coaches and he has already put together a strong recruiting class for next season. With Jans at the helm, the Miners are poised for success on the court and in the classroom.

Coach Murray’s first season as Head Coach of the UTEP Miners was a tough one, but he’s ready to lead the team to victory in the upcoming season
UTEP finished with a record of 7-24 last season, but Murray is optimistic about the team’s potential. “I really believe in this group,” he said. “We have a lot of talent and we’re just scratching the surface of what we can achieve.”
The Miners will have to contend with a tough Conference USA schedule, but Coach Murray is confident that his team is up to the challenge. “We’re going to work hard every day and give it our all,” he said. “I believe that we can be one of the best teams in the conference.”

Recently, the University of Texas at El Paso decided on a new head coach for their basketball team The Miners’ new head coach is a familiar face to the UTEP community: Tim Floyd. Floyd was born and raised in El Paso and has been interested in coaching since he was a young teenager. After High School Floyd attended the University of New Mexico on a Basketball Scholarship Following his graduation from UNM, Floyd coached at various colleges and universities around the country before returning to his hometown to lead the UTEP Miners
Floyd is no stranger to winning; during his time as head coach at USC, he led the Trojans to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including one trip to the Elite Eight. In addition, Floyd has coached several NBA players including Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard
Now that he is back in El Paso, Floyd is ready to lead the Miners to victory. He has already started recruiting talented players from around the country and is confident that the team will be competitive in Conference USA With Coach Floyd at the helm, the UTEP Miners are poised for success in the coming years.

The University of Texas at El Paso’s (UTEP) men’s Basketball team has a new head coach Kermit Davis Jr., who is ready to take the team to victory. Coach Davis comes to UTEP with a wealth of experience, having served as an Assistant Coach for several NCAA Division I basketball teams
Most recently, Coach Davis was an assistant coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). During his time at Ole Miss the team had a successful run in the NCAA tournament eventually reaching the Sweet Sixteen
Coach Davis’s experience and success at Ole Miss make him a great fit for UTEP, and he is ready to lead the Miners to victory.

In his first season as head coach of the Miners, Medina led the team to a 20-win season and a berth in the conference tournament semifinals.

The Miners’ new head coach a new era of UTEP basketball
The University of Texas at El Paso’s men’s basketball team has a new Head Coach Rodney Terry. UTEP athletics director Jim Senter hired Terry on March 26, 2018.
Terry comes to UTEP from Fresno State where he was head coach for seven seasons. In his time at Fresno State Terry led the Bulldogs to a record of 170-176. He also took the Bulldogs to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) in 2016 and 2017.
Prior to Fresno State Terry was an assistant coach at various colleges, including UCLA and UC Irvine. He was also head coach of the Long Beach Jam, a professional Basketball team in the American Basketball Association (ABA).
“I am thrilled to be the new head men’s Basketball Coach at UTEP,” said Terry in a press release from UTEP athletics. “UTEP is a special place with a rich history and tradition of success in men’s basketball.”
“I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Miners back to prominence in Conference USA and beyond,” he continued. “I want to thank Jim Senter for entrusting me with this program.”
Senter said he is “very excited” to have Terry as UTEP’s new head coach
“He has a wealth of experience as both a Head Coach and assistant coach ” Senter said of Terry. “He has coached at some of the biggest schools in the country and knows what it takes to be successful.”
“Rodney is a great fit for UTEP,” Senter continued. “He shares our vision for taking Miner Basketball back to national prominence.”
