The Falcons will start their season on October 5th with a Home game against St. Cloud State Their first away game will be against the University of Minnesota on October 11th. The Falcons will also take on arch-rival Army West Point twice this season, once at home and once away.

The Air Force Falcons will open their season on the road against the Omaha Mavericks on October 11th. They will then have a six game home stand, which includes games against conference foes UNLV, Colorado College and New Mexico. The Falcons will then hit the road for five straight games, including tough match-ups against North Dakota and Wyoming. They will close out their Regular Season with four of their last six games at home, which includes games against in-state rivals Colorado College and Denver.

Air Force will open the season at home against conference opponent Mercyhurst on October 6th. The Lakers finished last season with a record of 15-17-4, good for seventh in the conference. They will be looking to improve on that this year, and will be a tough test for the Falcons.

On November 3rd and 4th, Air Force will travel to Penn State for a two game series against the Nittany Lions Penn State is an NCAA Division I team that plays in Atlantic Hockey Conference (AHC). They are not eligible for postseason play due to their pending transition from Division I independent status to full membership in Division I as part of Hockey East Conference starting next season (2017-2018). Penn State had a rough first season as an independent team last year, finishing with a record of 7-19-4 overall and 5-13-4 in AHC play.

After that, it’s back home for two games against American International. Then, Air Force hits the road again for a trip to Niagara. The Falcons close out October with another home-and-home series, this time against Bentley.
In November, Air Force has seven games on the schedule. Four of those are at home, including a Thanksgiving Day matchup against Mercyhurst. The Falcons also have road trips to Alaska and Robert Morris during the month.
