Jack Williams- Senior shooting guard/small forward Williams is a knock-down shooter with a High Basketball IQ. He averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists last season. Williams has been working on his ball handling in the off-season to become more of a threat off the dribble.

Vince Carter- Senior power forward/center. Carter is a strong and athletic player that can rebound and block shots He averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks last season. Carter has been working on his offensive game in the off-season to become more of a scoring threat inside the paint.

Sophomore small forward Isaiah Johnson is another player that Az Compass Prep will be relying on this season. Isaiah is a very athletic player with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the game of basketball He loves to play defense and he takes pride in his defense. Isaiah is also a very good rebounder and he has the ability to get his hands on loose balls.

The next thing that people might look at is the players’ stats from their previous season. However, there is more to a player than just their height and stats. Each player has a story and background that has led them to where they are today.

For the Az Compass Prep Basketball team each player has different stories, backgrounds, and motivations for why they play the game of basketball However, they all have one common goal: to win a championship.

Jacori Teamer is a 6’7” Small Forward from Little Rock, Arkansas. Teamer was born into a family of athletes; his father played football at the University of Arkansas and his older brother plays football at Southern Arkansas University. When he was younger, Teamer dreamed of Playing Football like his father and brother, but he soon realized that basketball was his true passion. During his high school career, Teamer averaged 16 points per game 8 rebounds per game and 2 blocked shots per game. He was also named to the All-State team in Arkansas. Teamer chose to play basketball for Az Compass Prep because he felt it would give him the best opportunity to develop his skills and prepare him for the next level.

Isaiah Kelly is a 6’9” power forward from Chicago, Illinois. Kelly started playing basketball when he was eight years old because his father introduced him to the game.Kelly’s father played basketball in college and he wanted Kelly to have the same experience. During his high school career, Kelly averaged 18 points per game and 10 rebounds per game He was also named Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year in 2017-2018. Kelly chose Az Compass Prep because he wanted to be part of a winning culture and he felt that Az Compass Prep could help him reach his goals of playing college basketball and eventually playing in the NBA.

Darius Garland is a 6’2” point guard from Nashville, Tennessee. Garland began playing organized basketball when he was four years old; however, he did not start taking the sport seriously until middle school In high school Garland quickly developed into one of the top players in Tennessee as he led Brentwood Academy to two State Championships in 2016 and 2017 while averaging 25 points per game and 5 assists per game during his senior year. Garland chose Az Compass Prep because he wanted to play with some of the best players in the country and prepare himself for college basketball

Az Compass Prep also has several other talented players such as Kyree Walker (6’5” shooting guard), Armando Bacot (6’10” center), Josiah James (6’6 shooting guard), Will Baker (6’11 center), Josh Nickelberry (6’4 shooting guard), etc… With so much talent on Az Compass Prep basketball roster it will be exciting to see how far they can go this season!
