November 15 vs. Salem State The Bears will open up their season at home against Salem State. Salem State is coming off a 12-15 (5-13 MASCAC) season, but they will be looking to turn things around this year. This will be a good test for the Bears to see where they stand early on in the season.

December 29 vs. UMass Dartmouth The Bears will take on in-state rivals UMass Dartmouth on December 29th. UMass Dartmouth is coming off an 18-10 (11-7 Little East Conference) season and they will be looking to build on that success this year. This should be a competitive game between two evenly matched teams.

January 31 vs. Westfield State: The Bears will take on Westfield State on January 31st in what should be one of the most competitive games of the MASCAC schedule this season. Westfield State is coming off an 18-9 (12-6 MASCAC) season and they will be looking to make a push for the conference title this year. This is a game that the Bears will need to be at their best for if they want to come out with a win.

February 21 vs Fitchburg State The Bears will close out their regular season at home against Fitchburg State Fitchburg State is coming off an 8-17 (3-15 MASCAC) season, but they will be looking to turn things around this year and end the season on a high note. This should be a winnable game for the Bears, but they can’t take anything for granted against their conference rivals

Player news

The Bridgewater State University men’s basketball team is set to take on Salem State University on Saturday, December 2 at 3:00 p.m. This will be the first meeting of the two teams this season. The game will be played at Salem State’s O’Keefe Sports Complex and will be the finale of a three-game home stand for the Vikings.

BSU is coming off a tough loss to UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday night, despite a strong performance from senior guard Nick Crocker, who had 21 points in the game. The team will be looking to get back on track against Salem State.

The Vikings are led by junior guard Justin Flynn, who is averaging 17.4 points per game He will be a tough matchup for the Bears’ defense. Flynn is shooting 46 percent from three-point range so BSU will need to keep him from getting open looks from beyond the arc.

This should be an exciting game between two good teams. Be sure to tune in and catch all the action!

Green and White Bytes: The Bridgewater State University Bears men’s basketball team is gearing up for the start of their 2019-2020 Season The team has been working hard in practice and is ready to take on their opponents. Head Coach Joe Farroba is entering his second season at the helm of the program. Coach Farroba has led the team to a 12-14 record in his first season. The team is looking to improve on that record this season and make a run at the conference championship

The Bears will open up their season at home on Tuesday, November 5th against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Corsairs. The game will tip-off at 7:00 pm. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since December of 2016 when Bridgewater State won 85-77. The Bears are 2-0 all-time against UMass Dartmouth.

On Saturday, November 9th, the Bears will travel to Taunton, MA to take on long-time rival Taunton High School in a non-conference matchup. The game will tip off at 1:00 pm. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2013 when Bridgewater State won 72-43. The Bears hold a 20-6 advantage in the all-time series against Taunton High School
