Moraine Valley Cobras
The Cobras are currently ranked #1 in the state and are looking to defend their title from last year. With a strong starting lineup and solid bench players the Cobras are a force to be reckoned with.
Whitney Young Dolphins
The Dolphins are currently ranked #2 in the state and are looking to Brentwood high school for the title. The team is led by Senior captain Jahlil Okafor, who is one of the top recruits in the nation.
Prospect Knights
Prospect is currently ranked #3 in the state and is led by dynamic guard Tyler Ulis. Ulis is one of the top scorers in the state and is getting attention from several Division I colleges. The Knights have a tough road ahead but they have the talent to make a run at the state championship

The Simeon Wolverines are currently ranked first in the state and second in the nation. With a record of 18-1, they’re a team to watch out for come playoff time. Their only loss was to Montverde Academy who is currently ranked first in the nation.
The Morgan Park Mustangs are right behind the Wolverines with a 17-2 record. They’re currently ranked third in the state and 29th in the nation. They have losses to Simeon and Whitney Young, but they’re a strong team that’s sure to make some noise come playoff time.
The Whitney Young Dolphins are also a force to be reckoned with. They have a 16-3 record and are ranked fourth in the state and 31st in the nation. They recently beat Morgan Park, but their losses have been to out-of-state teams Montgomery Bell and yulee. They’ll be one to watch as we head into tournament time.
The Thornton Wildcats sit at fifth in Illinois with a 15-4 record and are 60th in the nation .They have some notable wins over Bloom and Evanston Township, but their losses have been against Babylon, Oak Hill Academy and IMG Academy We’ll see if they can turn things around as we enter playoff season

3. Lincoln Park High School
The Lions are always a team to watch in Chicago and this year is no different. They have a talented group of players that should help them make a run at a state title.
4. Whitney Young Magnet High School
Whitney Young is another team that is always near the top of the standings. They have a lot of talent and experience, which should help them make a deep run in the playoffs.
