The History
Delaware County Community College was established in 1967 as the first two-year college in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Rivalries
Delaware County Community College (DCCC) is home to the basketball team The team has many rivals, but the biggest one is Chester County Community College (CCCC). DCCC and CCCC have been rivals for years and the games between them are always heated.
The two schools are only a few miles apart and the fans are very passionate about their teams. The games are always well-attended and there is a lot of excitement in the air when the two teams meet.
The rivalry is so intense that it has even spilled over into other sports. When the two schools met in the playoffs in other sports, the games were hotly contested.
The rivalry between DCCC and CCCC is one of the most intense in all of Community College athletics.
The Season
It’s that time of year again! The Delaware County Community College men’s basketball team is in Full Swing and the campus is abuzz with the excitement of the season. The team is off to a great start, with a current record of 6-2.
Delaware County Community College has a long tradition of excellence in basketball. The team has won numerous conference championships and has made several appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Tournament
This year’s team is led by sophomore guard JaVonte Reddick, who is averaging 17 points per game Other Key Players include junior forward Shevaughn Allen and freshman guard Khalil Ali.
Head coach Anthony Owens is in his sixth season at the helm of the team, and he has high hopes for this year’s squad. “Our goal is always to win a conference championship and make it to the national tournament,” Owens said. “I think we have the talent to do that this year.”

The Tournament

They have had an amazing season so far and are continuing to do great things. Recently, they have both qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Basketball Tournament This is a huge accomplishment and they are very excited to represent Delaware County Community College at this event.
The Tradition
The tradition of the Basketball Team is one of the things that makes Delaware County Community College (DCCC) so special. The team has a long and successful history, dating back to the early days of the college.
