Eastern Illinois baseball has announced their schedule for the upcoming season The team will open their season on February 14th with a three game series against the University of Cincinnati
The Panthers will then have a midweek game against Western Illinois on February 19th, before beginning a three game series against Florida Atlantic on February 21st.
EIU will have their home opener on March 3rd, when they host Northeastern for a three game series. The Panthers will then host Bradley for a three game series on March 7th.

The Eastern Illinois University baseball team announced its 2016 schedule today. The Panthers will play a total of 56 games, including 28 at home at Coaches Stadium.
EIU opens the season with a pair of home games against Wright State on February 19-20. The Raiders are coached by former Panther assistant Jeff Duncan.
“We are excited about the upcoming season ” said EIU Head Coach Toast Manning. “We have put together a challenging schedule that will test our team early and often.”
The Panthers will play 16 games against teams that played in the 2015 NCAA tournament including five games against Super Regional participants Louisville and LSU.

Other non-conference opponents include Notre Dame (February 26th), Louisville (March 5th-6th), Indiana State (March 19th), Southern Illinois (April 2nd) and Illinois State (April 23rd).
In OVC play, Eastern will host Jacksonville State (March 8-10), UT Martin (March 29-31), Southeast Missouri (April 12-14), Murray State (May 10-12) and Tennessee Tech (May 17-19) while playing conference road series at Austin Peay (March 22-24), Tennessee State (April 5-7), Morehead State (April 26-28) and Belmont (May 3-5).
