The Liberty Hill Basketball season is in Full Swing and here are the games you don’t want to miss!

December 12th- Home game against Wimberley
December 19th- Home Game against Lampasas
December 27-29th- Away game at the Dripping Springs Tournament

Boys Varsity:
December 12th- Home Game against Burnet
December 27-29th- Away game at the Marble Falls Tournament

Liberty Hill Basketball Team Roster

The Liberty Hill Basketball team is looking very strong this season. Head Coach Chris K publically announced the varsity roster for the 2019-2020 Season The 10-player team is as follows:

Liberty Hill Basketball Game Highlights

The Liberty Hill Panthers are gearing up for what looks to be another great season. head coach Brad Clawson has his team focused and ready to take on all challengers. Here are some must see games this season.

December 21st- The annual crosstown showdown against the Rouse Raiders. This is always a hotly contested game and with both teams being evenly matched, it should be another great game this year.

January 8th- The annual rivalry game against the Leander Lions. This is always a tough game and the Panthers will have their hands full.

February 5th- TheDistrict Championship game against either the Marble Falls Mustangs or the Vandegrift Vipers. This will be a tough game no matter who the Panthers end up playing.

Liberty Hill basketball Player Stats

Hendersonville High School’s Liberty Hill Steelers are currently undefeated in conference play and ranked second in the state. The team is led by three Division I commits, Jaden Springer (Tennessee), Keon Johnson (Tennessee) and Jalen Hood-Schifino (UNC Charlotte). All three are top 100 recruits in the nation. In addition, the team has several other players who are being recruited by Division I and II schools.

The team’s success is due in large part to their strong defense. They are currently allowing an average of only 40 points per game which is the best in the conference. The offense is also clicking, averaging over 70 points per game

This season has been a special one for Liberty Hill Basketball and there are sure to be many more exciting games ahead. Here are some must-see games this season:

1) Liberty Hill vs. Cane Ridge – February 8th
This is a rematch of last year’s state championship game, which Liberty Hill won handily. Cane Ridge will be looking for revenge and this should be a closely contested game.

2) Liberty Hill vs. Whitehaven – February 12th
This is a matchup between the two best teams in the state. Whitehaven is currently ranked first in the state and has only lost one game all season. This should be a great game to watch.

3) Liberty Hill vs. Oak Ridge – February 15th
This is another rematch of last year’s State Tournament Oak Ridge is always tough and this should be another great game between two of the best teams in the state

Liberty Hill Basketball- Coaching Staff

Liberty Hill Basketball is led by Head Coach Scottie Williams and his wife, Assistant Coach Nikki Williams. The Williams have been coaching together for 11 years and have been at Liberty Hill for the past 5 years. They have led the Panthers to 3 straight district championships and 2 trips to the State Tournament

Liberty Hill Basketball- Fan Zone

Liberty Hill Basketball is one of the top programs in the nation. The pure love and passion for the game is unmatched. From the die-hard fans to the players and coaches there is an intensity that surrounds Liberty Hill Basketball. The fan zone was created for those passionate fans that want to get closer to the action and feel like they are a part of the team.

This season there are several games that you do not want to miss. Here are a few of the must see games:

1) December 3rd vs University of Texas- This is always a big game and this year should be no different. The last time these two teams played each other was in the 2016 NCAA tournament with Liberty Hill coming out on top. This will be a matchup of two of the best teams in the country and will be a great game to watch.

2) December 10th vs Duke University This will be another big game with two of the best programs in the country going head to head. Liberty Hill has had Duke’s number in recent years winning three out of the last four meetings between these two schools. This should be another great game with plenty of excitement.

3) January 7th vs University of Kentucky This will be another important game for Liberty Hill as they take on one of their biggest rivals, Kentucky. These two schools have been playing each other for years and it is always a close and exciting game when they meet up. Kentucky will be looking to revenge their loss from last year, while Liberty Hill will be looking to extend their Winning Streak against Kentucky. This should be a great game to watch.

Liberty Hill Basketball- Community Outreach

In an effort to reach out to the Liberty Hill community, the basketball team has schedule several games that will be open to the public and free of charge. This is a great opportunity to come out and support your local team while getting some exercise and fresh air. Here are some of the must-see games this season:

-The first game of the season is on November 10th at 7:00 pm. This is sure to be a competitive match up as Liberty Hill takes on crosstown rival, Ridgeline high school
-On December 12th, Liberty Hill will be hosting a holiday tournament. This will be a great opportunity to see the team in action as they take on some of the best competition in the state.
-January 22nd is senior night Come out and support the team as they honor their graduating seniors. This will be a Emotional Game and one that you won’t want to miss.
