Upcoming season’s schedule
The LMU Baseball Schedule for the upcoming season has been announced. The team will play a total of 56 games, 27 of which will be at home and 29 away.
The Lions will open the season with a three-game series at home against Pepperdine on Friday, February 14th. The following weekend, they’ll travel to San Diego for a three-game series.
Other noteworthy series include a home stand against Stanford in March and a road trip to play USC in April. The season will wrap up with a three-game series at home against Brigham Young from May 30th-June 1st.

All games will be played at Page Stadium, except for the game on April 3rd, which will be played at USC.

-March 10th: St. Mary’s College (DH), 12 & 3 pm -Noon game will be played in Moraga and 3 pm game in San Francisco -Due to playing two teams in one day we will use two separate nine inning lineups March 14th: creighton university , 6 pm -This game was originally scheduled for March 12 but was moved to the 14th because of rain in the forecast March 15th : Grand Canyon University , 6 pm -This game was originally scheduled for March 13 but was moved to the 15th because of rain in the forecast March 16th : Grand Canyon University , 1 pm -This game was originally scheduled for March 11 but was moved to the 16st because of rain in the forecast March 17th : Pepperdine , 2 pm & 7 pm -Noon game will be played in Malibu and 7 pm game played in Los Angeles -Due to playing two teams in one day we will use two separate nine inning lineups March 20st : Long Beach State (DH) , 5 & 8 pm -5 pm game will be played in Long Beach and 8 pm game played in Los Angeles -Due to playing two teams in one day we will use two separate nine inning lineups March 21st :Long Beach State , 6 pm -This game was originally scheduled for Long Beach on the 23rd but has been rescheduled due to a conflict with our Conference Schedule March 24st : USC Trojans , 7 PM -This game was originally supposed to be played on April 3rd but has been rescheduled due to a conflict with our conference schedule April Clayton Kershaw Foundation Charity Game TBD
Promotions and giveaways
The following is a list of promotions and giveaways for the upcoming LMU baseball season Check back often, as we’ll be adding more throughout the season!
· Tuesday, February 25 – Pick A Seat, Any Seat Night. All tickets will be $1 regardless of seat location.
· Friday, March 28 – Hawaiian Night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Hawaiian Lei. There will also be a pre-game hula hoop contest and a post-game concert featuring local band Aloha Radio.
· Saturday, April 5 – Super Hero Night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free LMU baseball cape. There will also be a pre-game costume contest and a post-game movie screening of “The Incredibles 2.”

As the season opener approaches, fans are anxious to see how their team will fare against their biggest rivals. The following is a list of games against LMU’s fiercest rivals. Be sure to mark your calendars and wear your team colors with pride!

Key Players to watch
The Loyola Marymount baseball team is gearing up for another exciting season! Here are some key players to watch:
-pitcher Connor Brossia: Brossia was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year last season, and he is expected to be a key player for the Lions again this year.
-infielder Michael Wieland: Wieland was a first-team All-American last season, and he is one of the best hitters in college baseball He will be a crucial part of the LMU lineup this year.
-outfielder Chase Diodato: Diodato is a top defender in the outfield, and he also has a lot of power at the plate. He will be an important player for the Lions this season.

LMU will be looking to build on their successful 2019 season in which they finished 34-19 and won the West Coast conference title The team will have a mix of experienced veterans and newcomers this season. The LMU Baseball Team is looking to rebound after a disappointing season last year. They have a lot of young talent and are looking to surprise some people this season. The team’s strengths are their pitching and defense. They have a lot of depth in both areas and should be able to shut down opposing teams. The weakness of the team is their hitting. They struggled to score runs last year and will need to improve in that area if they want to contend for a conference title
