The second round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs is underway, with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics squaring off in the Eastern Conference and the Golden State Warriors taking on the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference

The Cavaliers are the defending champions, having beaten the Warriors in last year’s Finals. Led by superstar Lebron James they are looking to return to the Finals for the third straight year. The Celtics, meanwhile, are led by All-Star guard Kyrie Irving They finished first in the East this season and are looking to return to the Finals for the first time since 2010.

In the West, the Warriors are once again favored to reach the Finals. They finished first in the conference for the fourth straight year and have won two of the last three championships. Led by two-time MVP Steph Curry they are looking to cement their place as one of the greatest teams of all time. The Rockets are led by All-Star guard James Harden They finished this season with a franchise-record 55 wins and are looking to make their first trip to the Finals since 1995.

The 2017 NBA Playoffs Conference Finals

The 2017 NBA Playoffs are underway, and we’re down to the Conference Finals In the East, the Boston Celtics are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers while in the West, the Golden State Warriors are up against the San Antonio Spurs. Here’s everything you need to know about each series.

The Boston Celtics vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers

This is a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals which the Cavaliers won in seven games. The Celtics have home-court advantage this time around, but they’ll be without one of their best players, point guard Isaiah Thomas who suffered a season-ending hip injury in the second round against the Washington Wizards Still, with All-Stars Al Horford and Jae Crowder leading the way, the Celtics are a tough opponent. They’ll have their hands full with Lebron James and Kyrie Irving of the Cavaliers, however. James is coming off an impressive performance against the Toronto Raptors in which he averaged 34 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds per game Irving was also great against Toronto, averaging 24 points and 5 assists per game The Cavaliers will be without big man Kevin Love due to a concussion, but they should still have enough firepower to win this series.

Prediction: Cavaliers in 6 games

The Golden State Warriors vs. The San Antonio Spurs

The Warriors are coming off a dominant performance against the Utah Jazz in Round 2 of the playoffs. They swept the Jazz in four games behind some stellar play from All-Stars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry Durant averaged 32 points and 8 rebounds per game against Utah while Curry averaged 28 points and 6 assists per game The Spurs will be a tough test for Golden State as they have one of the best players in basketball in Kawhi Leonard leading their charge. Leonard has been incredible this postseason, averaging 27 points and 7 rebounds per game against both the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets He’ll need some help from his teammates if they want to upset Golden State however. LaMarcus Aldridge will need to step up his play after averaging just 15 points per game against Houston while guards Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili will need to provide some scoring punch off the bench.

Prediction: Warriors in 5 games
