The Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference is made up of 15 teams, and they are separated into 3 divisions. The divisions are the Atlantic, the Central, and the Southeast.
The teams in the Atlantic Division are:
--Boston Celtics (48-34)
--Brooklyn Nets (21-61)
-New York Knicks (32-50)
-Philadelphia 76ers (10-72)
--Toronto Raptors (56-26)
The teams in the Central Division are:
--Chicago Bulls (42-40)
-Cleveland Cavaliers(57-25)

--Indiana Pacers (45-37)
Milwaukee Bucks (33-49)

The Western Conference
The Western Conference is one of the two conferences in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It comprises fifteen teams, divided into three divisions of five each. As of 2016, the three division leaders and the team with the next best record in each conference automatically qualify for the playoffs. The remaining two teams in each conference are determined by a playoff.
The Central Division
The Central Division is made up of the Chicago Bulls the Cleveland Cavaliers the Detroit Pistons the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks
The Southeast Division
The Southeast Division is one of the three divisions in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina
As of the end of the 2015–16 NBA season the Southeast Division has a 5-year record of 149–129 (.536), winning percentage-wise the best division in the Eastern Conference
The Southwest Division
The Southwest Division is one of the NBA’s five divisions. The division consists of five teams, all of which are located in the southern United States The division was created at the start of the 2004-05 NBA season when the league realigned its divisions in order to balance its conferences.
The current divisional alignment was introduced in the 2004-05 season, when the Charlotte Hornets relocated to New Orleans, becoming the New Orleans Pelicans At that time, the NBA realigned its divisions so that there were three divisions in each conference. As a result of this realignment, the Southwest Division was created, and consists of five teams:
– The Dallas Mavericks
– The Houston Rockets
– The Memphis Grizzlies
– The New Orleans Pelicans
– The San Antonio Spurs
The Northwest Division
The Northwest Division is one of the NBA’s 30 divisions. It comprises five teams: the Denver Nuggets Minnesota Timberwolves Oklahoma City Thunder Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz
The division was created at the start of the 2004–05 season, when the league expanded from 29 to 30 teams with the Charlotte Bobcats’ addition. It is also one of three divisions in the Western Conference with five teams, the others being the Pacific and Southwest Divisions. Of these five teams, four (the Nuggets, Blazers, Jazz, and Thunder) have never won an NBA Championship Minnesota has won once, in 1991 as a member of the Western Conference’s Midwest Division.
The Northwest Division champion (based on regular season record) earns a playoff berth. If both divisional winners from a conference have better records than any Wild Card team(s), then both division winners are seeded higher than any wildcard team(s).
The Pacific Division
The Pacific Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, the Golden State Warriors Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings
The Atlantic Division
The Atlantic Division is one of the NBA’s three divisions. The division consists of teams from the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic region.
As of 2016, the Atlantic Division has the following teams:
-Boston Celtics
-Brooklyn Nets
-New York Knicks
-Philadelphia 76ers
-Toronto Raptors

The Northeast Division
The Northeast Division is one of the three divisions in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams: the Boston Celtics Brooklyn Nets New York Knicks Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors
The Celtics have been the most successful team in the NBA since the league’s inception, winning a record 17 NBA championships The Knicks have also been successful, winning two championships. The Nets Won their first championship in 2002 as the New Jersey Nets The 76ers have only won one championship, which came in 1983. The Raptors have yet to win an NBA Championship
The Southeast Division
The Southeast Division is one of the NBA’s four divisions. The division consists of five teams: the Atlanta Hawks Charlotte Hornets Miami Heat Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards
In the 2015-16 season, the Southeast Division was won by the Miami Heat who finished with a 48-34 record. The Atlanta Hawks were second with a 47-35 record, followed by the Charlotte Hornets (48-34), Orlando Magic (35-47), and Washington Wizards (34-48).
