Terry Sanford high school is a public high school in Fayetteville, North Carolina The school opened in 1963 and was named after former North Carolina Governor and United States Senator Terry Sanford. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1,700 students in grades 9-12. The school’s sports teams are known as the “Bulldogs” and compete in the Cape Fear Valley 3A Conference.

The Basketball team at Terry Sanford high school has a long and successful history. The team has won five State Championships most recently in 2008. The team has also been runner-up six times, including four times in the last eight years. It was a great Basketball season for Terry Sanford High School The team won 21 games and lost 5. They made it to the conference championship game and the State Tournament Coach Smith was named conference coach of the year and three players were named to the all-conference team. It was a great season for the team and the school!

The Terry Sanford High School basketball team is coached by Mark Pankey and Jody Barbee. Coach Pankey is in his first year as Head Coach of the boys’ varsity team and has been with the program for six years. He has served as an Assistant Coach head Junior varsity coach, and most recently, as the head freshman coach. Coach Barbee is in her fourth season as the head girls’ Varsity Basketball coach. Prior to coaching at Terry Sanford, she was an assistant coach at Cumberland County High School for four years.
