Top Point Guards in the NBA

The NBA season is in Full Swing and the race for the title is heating up. Who are the top point guards in the league?

There are a lot of great point guards in the NBA, but only a few can be considered the best of the best. Russell Westbrook Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry are all having fantastic seasons and are in the running for the MVP Award

But who are the top point guards in the league? Here are our top five:

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving born March 23, 1992, is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for the United States national team Irving was named NBA Rookie of the Year after being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft He won an NBA Championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.

Russell Westbrook

Entering his 10th season in the NBA, Russell Westbrook has established himself as one of the league’s top point guards A dynamic playmaker with exceptional speed and quickness, Westbrook is a triple-double threat every time he steps on the court.

Westbrook was named NBA Most Valuable Player in 2017 after averaging a triple-double for the season – an unprecedented feat. He also led the league in scoring that year, averaging 31.6 points per game

In addition to his individual accolades, Westbrook has also been a key member of several successful teams. He helped the Oklahoma City Thunder reach the NBA Finals in 2012, and he was named to the All-Star team eight times between 2011 and 2019.

There is no doubt that Westbrook is one of the best point guards in the NBA today and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Chris Paul

Chris Paul one of the top point guards in the NBA, has been selected to the All-Star team for nine consecutive seasons. He has also been named All-NBA nine times, and led the league in assists six times.

Damian Lillard

The 6-foot-3 guard out of Weber State was drafted 6th overall in 2012. Lillard quickly made his presence felt in the league, winning Rookie of the Year. He has averaged at least 20 points and 5 assists per game in each of his seven seasons, including a career-high 27.4 points per game in 2018-19. Lillard is a two-time All Star and was named first team All NBA in 2018. He is one of the best shooters in the league, and has developed into one of the best playmakers as well.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry born on March 14, 1988, is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Stephen was drafted seventh overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Warriors. A six-time NBA All-Star he has been named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice and won three NBA championships with the Warriors.

Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry is currently one of the top point guards in the NBA. He was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft Lowry has played for several teams during his NBA Career including the Houston Rockets Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers He is a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2016.

John Wall

John Wall is an American Professional Basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the point guard position and is considered one of the best playmakers in the NBA, as well as one of the quickest players in the league. Wall was selected with the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Wizards after a stellar collegiate career with the Kentucky Wildcats

Mike Conley

Mike Conley is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted fourth overall in the 2007 NBA draft by the Grizzlies. Conley is a two-time All-NBA Third Team honoree.

Kemba Walker

Kemba Walker is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Hornets with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft Walker played college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies where he was named NCAA tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading them to their third NCAA championship in 2011. He is a two-Ime Nba All-Star and earned All-NBA Third Team honors in 2019.
