Jabari Parker took over as head coach of the Tritons this offseason, replacing Jim Smiley who left to take an assistant coaching position at Missouri State University Parker is a familiar name to UMSL fans; he played for the Tritons from 2005 to 2009 and is the program’s All-time leading scorer with 1,745 points. He’ll be looking to make his mark on the program as its new leader.

With a win in their season opener against St. Xavier on November 8th, the Tritons would tie the program record for most consecutive wins with 12. They would also set a new program mark for most wins in a single season with 24 if they can manage to win their conference tournament again this year

5) The Tritons have a deep bench that includes several players who could start for most teams in the conference. Senior guard Paul Hsepar, junior forward Darian Harris, and sophomore guard Josh Thomas are all averaging at least eight points per game while coming off the bench.
