Lamb comes into his redshirt senior season as one of the most accomplished players in UVM men’s Basketball History He was named America East Player of the Year and an AP Honorable Mention All-American last season after averaging 20.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game Lamb is one of just two player in UVM history with over 1,700 points and 700 rebounds in his career and he is currently sixth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,764 points.
Introducing the UVM Basketball Roster
The University of Vermont men’s basketball team has a long tradition of success, dating back to its days as a Division I power in the 1970s. The Catamounts have won 10 conference championships and made seven NCAA tournament appearances since 2005, including a Sweet Sixteen berth in 2009. This season, the team will look to continue its success with a talented and experienced roster.
Leading the way for the Catamounts is senior guard Anthony Lamb who was named the America East Conference Player of the Year last season. Lamb is joined in the backcourt by juniors Ernie Duncan and Trae Bell-Haynes, who provide Vermont with a dangerous three-point threat. In the frontcourt, seniors Luke Apfeld and Matt Morrissey anchor a group that also features junior Samuel Dingba and sophomore Dre Wills.
Rounding out the roster are sophomores Bailey Patella, Ra Kpedi andCosme Juancho, who will all look to make an impact this season. With a mix of experience and youth, the Catamounts will look to build on their recent success and make a run at another conference championship this season.

UVM’s men’s basketball roster is filled with talented players from all over the country. Here’s a quick look at some of the key members of the team:
Guard/forward Anthony Lamb is the team’s leading scorer, averaging over 20 points per game The junior from Rochester, New York is also one of the top rebounders on the team, averaging almost seven rebounds per contest.
Sophomore guard Stef Smith is the team’s second leading scorer, averaging almost 16 points per game The native of Toronto, Canada is also one of the team’s best three-point shooters, connecting on over 42% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
Freshman center Daniel Giddens is one of the tallest players on the team, standing at 6’11”. The native of Columbus, Ohio has been a key contributor off the bench for UVM, averaging over six points and four rebounds in just under 15 minutes per game.

University of Vermont men’s basketball is represented by some of the most talented student athletes in the country. This season, the team is proud to introduce its dynamic roster of players, each with their own accomplishments and skillsets that contribute to the team’s success on the court.
Fans can look forward to watching junior guard Ernie Duncan take on a leadership role this season, as he returns as the team’s leading scorer from last year. Sophomore guard Anthony Lamb will also be one to watch after an impressive freshman season in which he was voted America East Rookie of the Year. Rounding out the starting lineup is senior forward Dre Wills, junior forward Cam Ward, and sophomore center Daniel Giddens.
This year’s bench is stocked with talent as well, led by junior guard Trae Bell-Haynes and senior forward Kurt Steidl. Other Key Players including sophomore forward Paytons Mills, junior guard Dolphin Jones Jr., and freshman forward Isaiah Powell will also be looking to make an impact this season.

The UVM men’s basketball team has a roster full of talented and hardworking student-athletes. Each member of the team brings something unique to the court, and they all share a common goal: to win.
To get to know the team a little better, we asked each player a few questions about their basketball career what they like to do off the court, and their thoughts on the upcoming season Here’s what they had to say:
#1 – G degabriel “G” Johnson
Born and raised in Harlem, New York, G is no stranger to hard work and dedication. He started playing basketball when he was just five years old, and he hasn’t looked back since. When asked about his favorite part of the game, G said, “I love the feeling of scoring points and helping my team win.”
Off the court, G enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, and watching movies. He is also a big fan of Video games Asked about his goals for the season, G said, “I want to help my team win as many games as possible and make it to the NCAA Tournament ”
#2 – F jeremiah henry
Jeremiah grew up in Laurinburg, North Carolina Like G, he started playing basketball at a young age and fell in love with the game immediately. When asked about his favorite part of playing basketball Jeremiah said, “I love the feeling of scoring points and winning games ”
Off the court, Jeremiah enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also a big fan of video games Asked about his goals for the season
Learning about the UVM Basketball Roster
The men’s basketball team at the University of Vermont has a long and proud tradition. The team has produced NBA players Hall of Famers and fan favorites. Every year, a new group of young men comes together to don the green and white and represent the school on the court.

Redshirt Senior Anthony Lamb is the Heart and Soul of the team. The forward from Rochester, NY is a two-time America East Player of the Year and was recently named to the preseason Wooden Award watchlist. He is one of the best players in program history, and will be looking to lead the Catamounts to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2012.
Classmate Ernie Duncan is another player with a chance to make some program history this season. The Evansville, Indiana native needs just 78 points to become UVM’s All-time leading scorer. He is also one of the best three-point shooters in school history, and his 27 points per game last season was second in the conference behind Lamb’s 21.5 average.
Sophomore Stef Smith was one of the breakout stars in the conference last season, earning America East All-Rookie Team honors after averaging 11 points and four assists per game The Toronto native is an electric player with limitless potential, and he will be looked upon to provide even more scoring this season with Lamb and Duncan receiving so much attention from opposing defenses.
Junior Samuel Dingba will once again be anchoring things in the middle for UVM. The 6-foot-11 center from Yaounde, Cameroon averaged nearly two blocks per game last season while also chipping in with eight points and six rebounds per contest. He provides a physical presence down low that can be tough for opponents to match up with.
The Catamounts also have several talented newcomers who will be looking to make an impact this season, including freshman Isaiah Gross (G/F), junior college transfer Drew Urquhart (F), freshmen Paddy Gardiner (F) and Bertrand Nkali (G).

Ryan Davis is a 6’7″ forward from Hartford, Connecticut. He is a three-time All-State selection and was named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in high school Davis has played in all 31 games for Vermont so far this season, starting 23 of them. He is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.1 points per game and leads the Catamounts in rebounding with 6.4 boards per contest.
Anthony Lamb is a 6’6″ guard/forward from Rochester, New York. Lamb was a two-time All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year and led his high school team to a state championship as a senior. He has started all 31 games for Vermont this season and leads the team in scoring with 16.1 Points per game Lamb also pulls down 5.0 rebounds per contest and has dished out 2.5 assists per game
Ernie Duncan is a 6’3″ guard from Evansville, Indiana. Duncan was named first team All-State as a junior and senior in high school and helped lead his team to a state title as a senior. He has started all 31 games for Vermont this season, averaging 11.8 points per contest while shooting 41 percent from three-point range Duncan also leads the Catamounts in assists with 3.8 helpers per game.
Payton Henson is a 6’9″ forward from South Burlington, Vermont. Henson played his high school basketball at South Burlington high school where he was named first team All-State as a junior and senior. He has appeared in all 31 games for Vermont this season, averaging 8.6 points and 4..2 rebounds per contest while shooting 56 percent from the field

The University of Vermont men’s Basketball team is composed of student-athletes who attend the university on an athletic scholarship The roster includes both full-time and part-time students. The team is coached by John Becker and their home games are played at the Patrick Gymnasium on the university campus.
The Basketball Team has a long tradition of success, dating back to its founding in 1896. The team has won multiple conference championships and has made several appearances in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament Most recently, the team made it to the Sweet Sixteen in 2016.

Evan Fedderson: A 6’7″ forward from Warren, Vermont, Fedderson is entering his senior season with the Catamounts. He was named to the America East All-Conference First Team last season after averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per game Fedderson is a two-time recipient of the Rob Cleary Award, which is given to Vermont’s top player each season.
Anthony Lamb: A 6’6″ guard/forward from Rochester, New York, Lamb is also entering his senior season with Vermont. Lamb was named America East Player of the Year last season after averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds per game. He is a two-time recipient of both the America East Defensive Player of the Year Award and the Joe Graziadei Award, which is given to Vermont’s top Defensive Player each season.

MaddyExum: Forward, 6-1, So.
Hometown: Charlotte, Vt.
Exum comes to UVM from Champlain Valley Union high school where she was a two-sport athlete, also playing softball. As a sophomore last season, Exum saw action in all 32 games, starting in three of them. She averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
Bayley Luft: Forward/Center, 6-2, Jr.
Hometown: Hinesburg, Vt.
Luft is a local product, hailing from Champlain Valley Union High School where she was a three-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball and track & field). As a junior last season, Luft played in 25 games and made one start. She averaged 1.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 41 percent from the floor (17-41).
Erin MacDonald: Center, 6-3, So.
Hometown: Essex Junction, Vt.
MacDonald comes to UVM from Essex high school where she was a four-sport athlete (basketball, soccer track & field). As a sophomore last season, MacDonald saw action in all 32 games with two starts to her credit. She averaged 1.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor (22-55).
